RELIGIOUS EDUCATION 631-271-6081 This past week a letter was sent to the homes of all the children who registered for next year's classes. The letter contained the 2015-16 schedule of classes, some information for the parents about the first day of class and the child's room assignment. If you registered your child this past spring for Religious Education and you do not receive a letter, please stop in the office on or after Monday, August 31 (the office will be closed for the summer until then) so we can look into the matter. Bishop Hugh & His Dinner Guests ADULT SPIRITUAL FORMATION “For almost always there was cheerfulness and happiness in his face, from repose and sincerity of conscience. He wanted his whole Episcopal household, clerks, knights, and servants, to be fittingly and respectively dressed, and at his table he wanted them and especially guests to be served sumptuously and abundantly. Therefore, he often used to say to his people, ‘Eat well, and drink well, and serve God well and faithfully.’” ----Gerald of Wales, 1210-14 a.d Next CINEMA Oct. 6 Monday: IN A BETTER WORLD. SOCIAL MINISTRY & NOTICES RIGHT TO LIFE N. ATROCITIES OF ABORTION The television media will show the atrocities of war, violent shows, and slasher movies but we never see an abortion procedure exposed. They say that's too violent to be seen. If indeed we have a free press, why not present the facts and allow people to decide? Abortion is the killing of a baby. You won't hear that from the mainstream media. It's up to us to get the truth out. GET FREE DAILY E-MAIL UPDATES ISLAND CATHOLIC FROM THE LONG Get the latest Diocesan news free delivered to your email inbox.
