Manny Dear St. Francis Family, We celebrate this weekend the solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. Every time we make the sign of the cross while mentioning in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, we glorify our Triune God. It may be difficult to comprehend and fully understand the nature of God with the limitation of our human comprehension yet with the help of the Bible and the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, we come to believe how God loves and cares for us from the beginning of creation down to our present generation. Let us be aware that we are all created in the image and likeness of God from the moment of creation “Now, let us make man in our image and likeness.” (Gn 1:26) The word “us” connotes plurality of person. Then Isaiah had a vision of God calling one another “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty.” (Is 6:3) When Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan River, the voice of the Father was heard and the Spirit descended in the form of dove over the Son who was being baptized. (Mt 13:13-17), (Lk 3:21-22), (Mk 1:9-11) There are still some biblical passages about our Blessed Trinity. The biblical verses I quoted are some of the biblical proofs as to how we should understand how our Trinitarian God works as one. May the Holy Spirit enlighten us always in our small ways of knowing and loving God. Amen. Fr. Padre Manny Religious Education Classes ar e on br eak for the summer.
