Sisters and Brothers of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Community, Hermanas y Hermanos de la Comunidad Católica de San Lucas el Evangelista, By now, I am sure that you are aware of our capital stewardship campaign, “Stewards Building the Future.” As I mentioned in my letter sent to you in January, this is our parish’s sacrificial giving plan to begin developing the 20 acres of land that the parish owns and phase one of construction, which will be construction of our religious education and meeting room building. Every parish family will be given a DVD to view about our future plans and how you can be a part of the exciting future of St. Luke the Evangelist. We hope that you and your family will view it several times as well as share it with friends. Enclosed is a question slip, which you may return to me if you have any questions about our project or campaign. Please place your written questions in the boxes located at each church entrance, and I will answer all of the questions in a Sunday Bulletin. Also enclosed is a “Stewards Building Our Future” prayer card which we will pray together at Mass, and which I now ask and urge you to pray daily. A group of St. Luke parishioner’s will be asked to make their commitments in advance of the “Stewards Building the Future” Commitment Weekend, April 25 and 26. The total of their commitments will be announced at our Commitment Mass to encourage the rest of us. Every family present at the “Stewards Building the Future” Commitment Mass will receive their commitment cards, have the opportunity to complete them, place it in a sealed envelope, and then return them. Apart from this, these families and individuals will not be visited or contacted further. Any one who was unable to attend Commitment Mass Weekend will be contacted by our Commitment Team. These contacts are not sales calls. They will only encourage you to return your commitment card by the next weekend or, if you like, make arrangements to pick up your card. Each new family who registers with St. Luke over the next thirty-six months will have the opportunity to make a commitment to “Stewards Building the Future.” I hope that you find this visual and Fact Sheet both helpful and informative.
