If you need assistance, an elder will bring it to you where you are sitting. Come forward and stand with the Pastor if you would like to have prayer or join the church. Closing Song Go in Peace MEMBERSHIP Anyone who considers becoming a member of a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is invited to make their desires known to the church by moving to the front of the sanctuary during the “Invitation to Discipleship” hymn. Because we believe everyone is responsible only to God for their understanding of faith, there is no test for membership to become a Disciple of Christ. The baptism of all other churches is acknowledged as making you already a member of the universal church. If you have not been baptized, we expect you would schedule that act soon in obedience to the call of Christ. You may want to discuss your intentions with the pastor before sharing your decision with the Congregation, but that step is not required. 4 In The Life of the Church...
