January 7, 2015 Prayer Committee - The Prayer Committee will meet in the pastor’s office at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7. Wednesday Activities Resume - All regular Wednesday evening activities resume this week, beginning with Family Night Supper at 5:15. The entrée will be fried chicken. WOC Council -The WOC Council will meet in the library at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7. January 9, 2015 Primetimers - The Primetimers will attend a performance of Peter Pan at New Stage Theatre on Friday, January 9. The cost is $10. We will meet at the church at 6:45 p.m. Call the church office to sign up. General Announcements/Coming Events Designed to Create - The January meeting of Designed to Create will be held in the Fellowship Center at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10 (second Saturday of the month). Following a time of devotion, coffee and light refreshments, Tricia Carter and Gail Collins will be giving a demonstration on how to construct a small floral table arrangement. Ladies will be able to take these arrangements home with them when they leave. A small donation of $5 is requested to help defray the cost of materials. All ladies of Lakeside are welcome to join us! iPraise Choir - iPraise Choir rehearsals will resume at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11. Thursday Women’s Precept Bible Study - The winter session of the Thursday women’s Precept Bible study will begin on Thursday, January 15. We will meet for prayer from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m., followed by the lesson. We normally end at 10:30. We will pick up with lesson 7 in the Revelation study that we began last fall. Pursuing the Presence of God - The January session of “Pursuing the Presence of God,” the monthly teaching series led by Pastor Bill Hyer, will be held in the sanctuary at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 12. Sanctuary Flowers - The 2015 flower calendar has now been posted outside the church office. So far, WE HAVE ONLY FOUR WEEKS FILLED FOR 2015. If you would like to help fill this need, please stop by to sign up or call the church office. Pledge Cards - If you submitted a pledge card on Pledge Sunday, please either call or e-mail Linda Roberts at lroberts@ lakesidepres.com to verify the amount of your pledge. We received several pledges with no names and need to know whom to credit these to. (Please note that all pledge cards need to be signed at the bottom of the card.) Troop 300 Firewood Sale - Troop 300 is doing a firewood fundraiser to raise money for the boys to go to camp this summer. You can purchase quality firewood and pick it up at the church or have it delivered (NOTE: delivery is free on Fridays and Saturdays).
