SEEKING
Easter Sunday is a day all about seeking. The early Christian communities gathered
around the Apostles, seeking more about the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus. Saint
Paul told the baptized Colossians to "seek what is above." Mary of Magdala went to the
tomb, seeking to find the Lord's body so that she could anoint it. We come to church on
Easter Sunday seeking many things. For some of us, this is a once-a-year journey, when
we seek connection with the foundations of the Christian faith. For others, this day is
the culmination of a long journey of Lenten repentance. For the newly baptized, this is
the first day of a new life filled with promise and expectation. Whatever it is that we seek, let us be inspired
by the disciple whom Jesus loved who, when he saw the wrappings of cloth inside the empty tomb, "saw and
believed."
Sponsor Opportunity
We would like to offer families the
opportunity to sponsor the church
and daily chapel Easter Lilies. You
may sponsor one or more. The
suggested sponsorship for one plant is $10.00.
Sponsors will be recognized and thanked in the
weekly bulletin after Easter. This is a beautiful
way to remember a loved one or honor a
special occasion for your family while giving
back to our church community. Thank YOU!!
Payment can be made at the church office or
online thru ParishSOFT Online Giving, please
contact the church office if you have questions.

Question of the Week Easter Sunday
Question for Children: What sacrifices do you
make for those whom you love?
Question for Youth: Even the disciples had a hard
time understanding Jesus’ Resurrection – it is that
surprising. What does Resurrection mean to you?
What does Easter mean to you?
Question for Adults: In what ways has God called
you to die in Christ? How is this expressed in your
own life?

Daily Chapel/
Blessed Sacrament Chapel
Don’t forget you have access to visiting the
Blessed Sacrament during office hours. All you
need to do is enter through the back side door using the
code 2746 – then turn the lock and the door will open. Feel free
to call the office with any questions.
Buenas Noticias de ls SCRIP programa! Good news about the SCRIP progam!

corazones.
I have very exciting news for all of us in our parish and especially to
all of those who have been participating in the SCRIP Program. Our
dream has become a reality because you have supported it by
making purchases using SCRIP that you bought here at our church.
You could have gone directly to the merchants as always but you
have made the choice to be good stewards.
You have shared your TIME by planning ahead for the SCRIP
purchases and stopping at the SCRIP table to make the purchases.
You have used your TALENT to make your hard earned money
which is your TREASURE, and then you have shared your TREASURE
by making the effort to buy SCRIP. It has been an almost painless
way to be a GOOD STEWARD and the PARISH has begun to benefit
very much from your efforts.
Here are numbers for your information:
Last year before the holidays our normal sales of SCRIP was
$5,000.00 to $6,000.00. Now our normal is about $9,500.00 at each
selling weekend.
From November 15, 2014 through February 28, 2015 the amount of
SCRIP product sold was $127,251.00 which gave a total rebate to
SFXC Church of $6,484.00
For all last year, our total rebate was about $11,000.00. Today, we
are at $6,400.00 in just 3 months!
We want to encourage you to keep participating in this very
important program for our Parish. If you haven't done it yet please
stop by our table and we will be more than happy to explain how
this program works without you spending any extra money.
God Bless You and thank you very much from the bottom of our
hearts.

Stephen Ministry
This is a prayer reflection from the book “Come
to me” by the missionaries of the Blessed
Eucharist. One of the goals of a Stephen Minister
is having Jesus at the center of his/her life.
Worthy are you Jesus, Infinitely worthy to
receive the adoration of all mankind, In the
Blessed Sacrament,
for you are the Eucharistic Lamb:
Slain for salvation
Victim of sin
Obedient unto death,
Model of Virtue,
Reconciliation with the Father.
Radiating in the Eucharist:
Gentleness Personified,
Sacrificial love,
Grace without measure,
Life in abundance,
Devine sweetness overflowing,
Goodness poured out,
For all who come into
the light of your presence.
Center our hope, Jesus,
Not in the passing things of this world
But a hope centered
in being one with
You, the Father, and the Holy Spirit.
