Character Trait for February is CITIZENSHIP
CITIZENSHIP-Being law abiding and involved in service to school, community and country.
General:
1.
HS Science Olympiad practice Sunday from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
2.
Prom flower order forms are available outside the HS office on the wall.
3.
Juniors and Seniors: Our Project Prom Basketball Tournament is Saturday, February 21st. We need food and
money donations. We need concession stand workers, gate workers, referees, and book and clock workers. We
will need adult referees for each and every game. Ask your parents to help with this. You will receive points for
your parents working a shift. You are not limited to one item or a dollar amount. You are not limited to work only
one shift. These tournaments are so important to the 5th and 6th grade students that come to participate.
Remember how much you enjoyed these tournaments. We need your participation to make this
tournament a success. Notice that the points are posted at the top of the job you choose to work. Also notice
that if you sign up for a money donation it has to be turned in by Friday, February 13th. Don’t wait. Sign up
right away! Sign-up sheets are outside Mrs. McQueen’s door.
4.
Freshman 2015-2016 class schedules are due TODAY to Mrs. McQueen. Make sure you get your parent’s
signature.
5.
Austin Angle, Chelsea Buntin, John Conover, Erin Foehring, Connor Johnson, and Peyton Messner need to turn
in their 2015-2016 class schedules to Mrs. McQueen ASAP.
6.
Elory Anderson, William Anderson, Kathy Donaldson, Tyler Hunter, Shanen Law, Brendon Malone, Keltan
Munns, McKenzie Rose, Clayton Stoll and Tristin Stoll need to turn in their 2015-2016 class schedules to Mrs.
McQueen ASAP.

On Thursday, February 19th, North Central Career Center in Bethany will be hosting a Vocational Awareness
Day for all interested Sophomores who would like to attend Vo-Tech next year. Sign up on Mrs. McQueen’s door
if interested.
8.
Summer league baseball and softball forms are outside the HS office on the wall. They are due with payment by
Feb. 20 and should be returned to either the elementary or high school offices.

Good luck to the varsity basketball teams in their games tonight at Bethany. Game time is 6:00 and the bus will
leave at 4:40.

Good luck to the varsity wrestlers at the Albany Duals on Saturday. Start time is 10:00 and the bus will leave at
7:15.

Best wishes to our choir students participating in GRC Choir tomorrow at South Harrison. The bus will leave at
8:10 a.m. The final concert is at 5:00 p.m. Don’t forget to tell your family and friends that audience admission will
be charged.

Congratulations to Aiden Gregory, Alexis Simmerman, Marissa Jensen, Hannah White, Dakota Wagner, Clayton
McKune, Austin Schwebach, Austin Hill, and Lydia Dokken who participated in the Gentry County Spelling Bee
yesterday. Congratulations also to the alternates, Tyler Schwebach from 5th grade and Stephen Henggeler from
6th grade who continued to study in case one of the spellers couldn’t make it yesterday.
5th grade: Austin Hill placed 2nd in the written and Lydia Dokken placed 1st in the written.
6th grade: Hannah White placed 1st in the written.
8th grade: Aiden Gregory placed 1st in the written.
