 Facilitated campaign to secure city of Austin’s commitment to being coal-free by 2020 by recruiting core team of
10 volunteer leaders, organizing 110-person town hall, giving presentations and briefing the media, and
coordinating visits with elected officials
 Managed campaign to stop proposed Las Brisas coal plant by cultivating team of 15 volunteer leaders and 100+
activists resulting in 1300 mw of coal-burning power kept off the grid through liquidation of Las Brisas’ parent
company
 Created and delivered organizational management training for volunteer groups by organizing curriculum and
cultivating stakeholders, led to increased organizational efficiency for membership drives
 Coordinated with Citizens for Environmental Justice to arrange tour and listening session with White House InterAgency Environmental Justice Working Group and local Environmental Protection Agency administrator to
highlight pollution issues facing community
 Managed volunteers in 9 cities to organize community bike rides in support of clean energy with attendance 100+
