Good evening / Good morning / Good afternoon. (PAUSE) Welcome to
Good Shepherd for the 5th Sunday in Ordinary Time. We extend a
special welcome to visitors and new parishioners.

Presider:
God’s love redeems us and gives us life. Therefore we place our
needs in God’s hands.

1. For the Church: may we proclaim the Good News through our words and
actions in service to God and to teach each other…we pray…
2. For the new members of the College of Cardinals: may they be faithful
witnesses to the Gospel and build unity in the Body of Christ…we pray…
3. For gifts of patience, imagination and understanding in our relationships
within our families and world… we pray …
4. For all husbands and wives: may they have the wisdom and courage to grow
and fulfill the rich potential to become all God wants them to be…we pray…
5. For peace in our families, community and world: may we promote peace
through listening to others and their needs…we pray…
6. For healing: may those who are sick in body, mind or spirit receive the care
and assistance they need, (including)
