It is amazing all the events, activities and people who help us celebrate in our school during the Advent Season. Thank you to: Mrs. Dalina for her technical support in making the Online Conference Scheduling happen. Teachers and Parents for their efforts in continuing our partnership to encourage all of our students to use their academic gifts to their potential through conferences. Our hard working Home and School Association for the Christmas Bazaar that raises funds for our school — especially Karen Kuta who chaired the event. Sister Rose Mary and Ms. DeMarco and our second grade students for planning the Mass of the Immaculate Conception for us. Father Paul for presiding over our Reconciliation Prayer Service and Sister Rose Mary’s “cantors” who guide us in song. Breakfast with Santa, a community favorite, thanks to the hard-work of April Sharpeta and Beth Mosser for the H.S.A. The Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers: Mrs. Mirabile, Mrs. Nohe, Mrs. Woods, Ms. Lally, Mrs. Behr, Mrs. Diegel, for the joyous Christmas Program. Mrs. Boschert for her creative direction and selection of the program. Archbishop Curley Choir for sharing their amazing musical talent with us. Special thanks to Ted Sines, Bradley Hunter and Leo Sydlik for showing us another reason to be proud of them! Mrs. Velten, Mrs. Boschert and Mr. Scudlark for the inspiring Christmas Program. Mrs. Zavodny, Mrs. Rostkowski, Mrs. Tobias and Mrs. Dalina for being “Christmas helpers” in supervising the actors, chime players and singers who were all spectacular. Mrs. Zavodny and the first grade students who bring us the true meaning of Christmas through our Christmas Prayer Service and the collection for the Birthright Center. All of our teachers/assistants for the hours of planning and assessing to meet the instructional needs of our students. All of the staff, Mr. Melewski, Mrs. Lee, Mrs. Zachmeier, Mrs. Arbutus, Mr. Rob and Josh who contribute daily to the health and safety of our students. Page 2 Our St. Stephen families who remember all of the teachers and staff so generously with a Christmas gift. We appreciate your thoughtfulness. Our Pastor, Father Larry who continues to support our school with patience and faith knowing that we are “in the business” of spreading faith, values and education. Hopefully 2014 leaves you in good health and full of God’s graces. I know we are all looking forward to time with our family and friends this holiday. As the new year approaches and we make our resolutions, may I suggest a spiritual renewal in 2015. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to extend the love and peace we experience at Christmastime all through the coming year? Merry Christmas and wishes for a happy, holy New Year. January 5th school is in session. January 19th is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. School will be closed. We will have Mass at 10:15 in the Hall on January 26th during Catholic Schools Week. On January 27th, during Catholic Schools Week, we will have an Open House for Parents and Friends: 8:30 - 11:30 and 12:30 - 2:30. Friday, January 30th will be a 12:15 dismissal.
