Fifty Ways to Live the Joy of the Gospel

Dear Parents,
Our athletes and their coaches have been busy this first term. The display of sportsmanship, teamwork, and
dedication from all involved is impressive. Our Cross Country team, under the leadership of
Mrs. Espinosa,
th
Mme. Caprilli, and Ms. Kelsey, placed 15 overall out of 33 schools at the CISVA meet. What was more
important was the respectful manner in which our students approached their event and their peers from other
schools. Well over half of our student body participated in Cross Country. Well done! Our volleyball teams
have also been busy, with a 95% student participation rate in grades 5, 6, and 7! Be sure to check out Mr.
Kelly’s blog for all the details. Thanks to Mr. Kelly, Mrs. Kelly, Mr. B., Mrs. Jeffrey, and Mr. & Mrs. Imoo for
their inspirational and supportive coaching skills. Go Crusaders!
Yours in Faith,
Maureen Moorehead
Principal
Fifty Ways to Live the Joy of the Gospel - #6 – Take a walk in the park
and allow God to speak to you though nature: sunshine, an evening
breeze, the sound of children playing.
Friday Assembly – Tomorrow the Gr. 1 and 4 classes will lead a special assembly to commemorate
Remembrance Day. Please join us at 9:00 am in the gym.
To commemorate Remembrance Day, all students will be getting a poppy on
Friday, Nov. 7th. Please send a loonie or a toonie in support of our war heroes.
Christmas Card/Gift Fundraiser – Don’t forget, tomorrow is the due date for your child’s art to be
professionally made into cards and gifts for your loved ones this Christmas. Please submit your orders
to your child’s teacher.
Parent Talk on Online Gaming – A reminder of the parent talk on online gaming with James Borkowski taking
place in the Parish Centre at 9:30 am tomorrow morning. Please join us if you are able.
Nut Allergy Alert Reminder! – Just a reminder to please not send any nut products to school, either in your
child’s lunch, or as treats for the class. We have children with anaphylaxis in almost every class and we need to
provide the safest environment possible for their health and well-being. Thank you for your attention to this
matter.
No school Monday and Tuesday – A reminder that there is no school on Monday (Professional Day) and
Tuesday (Remembrance Day holiday) of next week.

registration details. Please note there will be no regular classes for students on this day. Students are only to
