Minutes
The minutes of the meeting held on Monday 3rd March 2014, having been circulated
and read were signed as a true record, with a change made to the date of the Flood
meeting – which has been changed to Monday 14 th April.

Liaison Companies update
A representative from Eon will be attending the next PC meeting.
3.
Public Forum
A letter was presented to the meeting which has been sent to the owner of the
land near the bus garage, in order to address the recent noise issue. Motorcyclists
have created a track on the land and have been using it for long periods of time
causing a noise issue. There have also been recorded incidents of eggs and other
objects being thrown at properties, this has been reported to the police. This item is
also recorded under item 7 of the agenda.

Community Issues
Noise issue at old bus garage and land near by the clerk was asked to write to
the owner of the land and send photographs of the area and also seek advise from
ERYC regarding noise abatement.
8.
Flooding
There will be a meeting held on Monday 14 th April,18.30 @ the Crown and
Anchor Kilnsea. All affected people had been invited. The last notification received
by Cllr Smith was that £450k would be needed to carry out the flood defence work
but there would be further updates at the meeting. Representatives from the EA
would update about Chalky Point to the Crown and also there had been issues
regarding a relic sand dune, this has been raised with YWT and Natural England.

A transport needs survey has been sent to every household – to date 139
responses had been received and some very good comments made, Karen Wood
reported that it had identified the need to raise awareness on the services available
at present such as Medi bus.

Wider Community Group
More members of the community have attended first aid training and also been
trained to use the defib, these are Sarah and Simon Smith, Laura Jolley, Vicki
Edwards, Joanne Louth, Richard and Linda Callan and Paul Collins. Thank you all
those for attending.
7 people have also volunteered to become community first responders for the
villages. This means they will attend a two day course and be issued with a full kit
for dealing with various emergency situations. This is a fantastic scheme for rural
areas as the emergency services can take a long time to get here. The volunteers

will be issued with a defibrillator, oxygen and all other equipment, they will also
receive ongoing training to ensure they are fully able to deal with situations.
The clerk was requested to apply to the enhancement fund for moneys to purchase
another defib, this would be kept at Kilnsea. Cllr Smith, Cllr Swales and Cllr Crowther
are to seek a suitable and agreeable location for the unit within the village.

Shape
A fuel scheme is being launched for properties using oil, people may be able to
access cheaper fuel through the scheme. The scheme costs £20.00 to join but for
the first 200 people, there would be no joining fee.

Please note - items brought under AOB requiring a decision will be included on the

It was raised about parking on High Street, particularly near the school. The clerk
was requested to write to the school to enquire if staff were able to park within the
school car park.
14. Date of Next Meeting – Monday 12th May, 2014 @19.00 this will be
preceded by the Annual Parish meeting at 18.30 and the Annual
Statutory Parish meeting @18.45.
