THE AFTERMATH OF THE FLOOD – is what we’ll be studying this Sunday in Adult Bible Class. Come join us at 9:45 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Man’s sinful nature still comes out after the eight emerge from the ark, but our loving and merciful Lord provides for Noah and his family and for us, both our physical needs and our spiritual needs! THE SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON for this week focuses on the story of “Jesus and the Little Children.” In our sin, we are like small children: helpless, dependent, and needy. So Jesus came to bestow His love and eternal gifts upon us. Parents could discuss, “How did Jesus show His compassion on these little children? How does Jesus shower His compassion on us?” NURSERY SIGN-UPS: Messiah’s LIFT (Lutherans Improving Fellowship Team) group is asking volunteers to sign up for nursery care slots. There are 12-15 slots per month on Sundays (for each service and for the Bible Class hour). Schedules for February, March and our special Lent & Easter services are by the Welcome Center and in Adult Bible Class. Thanks to those who have already signed up. Whether you currently serve as a nursery volunteer or not, we encourage you to sign up anytime for any open slot! MOVIE MATINEE SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7th – Pastor and Daina would like to invite you to join them at Celebration Cinema North on Saturday, February 7th at 1:10 PM for a movie (meet in the lobby Beltline side at 1 PM). Signup is at the Welcome Center. If we get more than 15 people, it will be only $6.00 ticket! OLD FASHIONED is a faith-based love story coming to theaters this weekend. When was the last time you saw a movie where the main characters attempt the impossible: an old-fashioned courtship in contemporary America! OLD FASHIONED is the kind of big-screen story that Christians have never seen before—one that inspires a genuine hunger for godly romance. Learn more at OldFashionedMovie.com. FROM RICK & DEB KRUEGER: Once again, your kindness, thoughtfulness & generosity is beautiful, overwhelming, and deeply appreciated.
