Welcome to worship at Dayboro Uniting Church and Mt Mee Community Church Sunday 25 January 2015 08:30am Dayboro 4:00pm Mt Mee Pastor Richard Holy Communion Pastor Richard Chair of Church Council Ian Ogston has resigned as Chair of Church Council. He has been a most energetic and effective Chair, and there have been many changes for the better in our church fabric during his year in office. I shall miss his wise counsel (because I need all the wise counsel I can get). Congregational Meeting This is a good spot to give advance notice of a Congregational Meeting after the morning service on Sunday 1 March (St David’s Day! Cymru am byth! Coral, we’ll have to sing Guide me O thou great Redeemer). And after that Meeting, there will be a bbq lunch in the church grounds. Welfare managers to retire at last Our wonderful welfare managers, Ann and Kay, will retire in a few months time. They have worked very very hard, far beyond the time when other folk would have been taking it easy. Much of our church’s high visibility in the town is down to Ann and Kay carrying forward the welfare ministry which Paul kicked off. God bless them, and their lovely families. So if you think that you’d like to have a stab at filling their unfillable shoes (no, sisters, I don’t mean that you have big feet!), or if you have an idea about someone whose shoulder we should tap, have a word with Ann or Kay or Richard. Perhaps we might consider opening the rôle to someone from our welfare partners, the Catholic Church or Lions or the Progress Association? It’s something which the Congregation can discuss at our Meeting on March 1. Contributions for the Newsletter Read any good books lately?
