As we partner with Flesherton Love Committee, we hope to provide a really good Christmas for those in need. Grocery bags for White Gift donations are at the food bank box if needed. Needs: non-perishable items. Next food bank dates are Tues. Dec. 9 and Tues. Jan. 13, 2015. Romans 15:13 ~ May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.           Ongoing prayers for Howard Cunnington as he continues to heal from recent knee replacement surgery. Howard and Linda are so grateful for the prayers and love of the congregation. PTL! Irene Morrison reports there no indication of cancer in the biopsies, and everything is healing well. She is so grateful for all the prayers from the congregation. Bob and Muriel Avis’ son, Dale, will be having heart surgery on Dec.10. Michael Chaikowsky, Bob and Muriel Avis’ son-in-law, as he continues to recover in hospital from neurosurgery. Prayers for Jenny Tilker’s sister, Tracey, who is in London hospital with a brain tumour. The surgeon was able to remove 1/2 of the tumour. Tracey is 25 years old and also grieving the loss of her mother Mary. Prayers for those battling cancer: Lynne Archdekin, Jim Green, Cindy Hargrave, Heather Jackson, Carol Lundsted, Joyce McMillan, Betty Mills, Amber Tabor, Cheryl Weatherall (Laura McKillop’s niece). December 14 will be the last day to ripen the Mitten Tree.  Acts Bible Study Candle Party is on Wednesday December 17, 1:30pm.  Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is at 7:30pm.  “Scruff”, the children’s book written by Mary Ann Pascucci, is available to purchase for $12 at the Welcome Centre—a great Christmas gift!  GSCC will be sponsoring a free public skate at the Markdale Arena on New Year’s Eve from 7pm-9pm. This is open to the general public— please invite your family, friends and co-workers!  Wanted: Toys (used or new) for the Sunday School rooms (Ages: 3-7).  A summary of decisions from the council of Elders Meeting and the Membership Meeting are posted in the Fellowship Hall and Narthex.  Please remember to check your family mailboxes in the Fellowship Hall.  Christmas Books and Videos are ready to be signed out in the library.
