Dear Church Family, It is so good to see all of you! Did you notice that our group from Haiti is back? I noticed! It is good to see them. I really missed them. I know they were missed in the music of the church. I’m sure they were missed in the sound booth and with the on-line ministries. We made it with them gone. Wow! Some people took on some added responsibility. That’s one thing I like about this church. You have many people working together to keep the ministry going. I’m sure you noticed the beautiful white snow this week. I’m beginning to think that it snows every day around here. (I hear we might get more today!) I also hear that several in this congregation REALLY like the snow. I have also heard that a few of you DON’T care for it. There’s not much I can do about it. However, I thought about the clean, white snow and remembered that God can make the most sinful heart whiter than the snow! Are you in need of a cleansing? If so, don’t leave the church today without allowing God to cleanse your heart. Some of the youth have had a busy week at the youth convention. Maybe some of them are still there today instead of being at their own church. (I heard that your pastor even showed up there this week.) I should have sent my little ones to Beavertown. I could have had a little rest and relaxation, too, while they were gone. This is February - the month of “LOVE.” Don’t forget to show your love to your sweetheart. Let her or him know that you still love them. Don’t be like the man who told his wife at the wedding altar, “I love you and if I ever change my mind, I’ll let you know.” That poor soul hasn’t told her since! Maybe we should consider HER the poor, old soul. What do you think? If you don’t have a sweetheart, keep your eyes open. It is never too late for love! Besides, Jesus wants to be your Valentine! For what more could you ask? I heard a song this week written by a person who attends this church. It went something like this... “Jesus is my Valentine, Jesus loves me all the time. I am His and He is mine. Greater love you cannot find!” How true. Speaking about Valentine’s day, do you like mystery? I have a real mystery. It is a Valentine’s Mystery Dinner. Now what is that??
