Normal schedule resumes thereafter.
Next Sunday is the solemnity of the Epiphany. There will be second collection for Justice and Peace.
A big thanks from our parish community to all
who helped prepare the church and the liturgies
of Christmas Day. A great deal of work goes into
our celebrations and it’s only through working
together that we make things happen. Many
thanks and a very happy Christmas to all.

To be baptised, confirmed and come to share in the Eucharist is
possible at any age! Today, men and women from a variety
of backgrounds are responding to the call to follow Christ and
celebrate the Sacraments of the Church.

The octave of Christian Unity runs
from 18-25 January every year. The
Archbishop invites us to join him at
St. Andrew’s Cathedral for a celebration on Monday 19th January at 7

JUBILEE CELEBRATION
The Parish Pastoral Council is pleased to announce details of our PARISH PARTY NIGHT to celebrate our
60th year as a Parish Community. This event will take place on Friday 5th June 2015, 6:30pm - 12:30am at
Celtic Park, Parkhead.
Cost of this event is approx. £40/adult and £20/child (age 12 or under). This cost will include a 3 course
meal, tea/coffee, live band and coach transfer to and from Parkhead.
To enable us to finalise our booking with Celtic Park and the coach company, we need an indication of the
number who wish to attend. To secure your place at this event, please complete a booking form (1 per
person) and a non-refundable deposit of £10 per head, and give to:

St. Mungo Festival:
This annual festival to celebrate our city’s patron
begins on 10th January and includes readings from
the life of St. Mungo at the Mitchell Library on the
10th from 12.30– 2 p.m.; an ecumenical service at
Glasgow Cathedral on Sunday 11th January at 6.30
p.m. and Mass in St. Mungo’s church, Parson St. on
13th January at 7p.m. For full information visit

Considering
a
Career
in
Teaching?
A support event is being held in the Glasgow Archdiocese
Offices, Eyre Hall, Clyde Street, Glasgow on Wednesday 7th
January at 6.30pm. If you have applied or are considering
applying to Glasgow University for primary teaching this
meeting will offer advice and support on both the completion of application forms and in preparing effectively for the
interview process. The event will be attended by existing
head teachers who will be on hand to give advice. This event
will be of great benefit to anyone thinking of a career in primary teaching.
The next meeting of the
Parish Pastoral Council will
take place on Thursday 8th
January at 7.30 p.m. in the
parish hall. Members of the
PPC please make a note of
this date.
P3 Parents’ Meeting:
In preparation for First Reconciliation
