Welcome! Msgr Hanley, the staff and parishioners of Holy Family Catholic Church welcome you! Whether you are here for a few days, weeks, or months - we are happy that you have chosen us to be your parish away from home. Those of us who reside here permanently are few in number - perhaps fifteen percent of those who attend our weekend liturgies. We are inspired by the many thousands who join us in celebrating Mass, both on Sunday and during the week. The beautiful example of faith you give us by your presence strengthens our commitment to serve your spiritual needs. We especially invite you to worship Our Lord in our Eucharistic Adoration Chapel located to the right of the Church as you leave. We hope your stay on our lovely island is enjoyable, we pray that your journey home is safe and we look forward to your return visit to us your parish away from home. - Msgr Hanley Holy Family Catholic Church www.holyfamilyhhi.org Prayer & Worship MASS INTENTIONS Saturday 12/20 Sunday 12/21 5:00pm Thomas Durkin 8:00am James Luke Malfetti, III 11:15am Sally Bennison 1:00pm Pro Populo Monday 12/22 8:00am Sheila McHale Tuesday 12/23 8:00am Robert Scherrer Wednesday 12/24 8:00am Lisa Kroening Christmas Eve 4:00pm Joan Gresick 6:00pm Pro Populo 11:00pm Ben & Ann Germani Christmas Day 12/25 10:00am Kaye McGarty Friday 12/26 8:00am Sheila McHale Saturday 12/27 8:00am Fred Cavolic 5:00pm Tom & Wendy Dever Sunday 12/28 8:00am The Fratto Family 11:15am Ephrain Gonzales 1:00pm Pro Populo PLEASE NOTE: If you are homebound or in the hospital and would like Msgr Hanley to visit, please call the parish office. Part of that request is to be able to verify that a person is an “active member” of Holy Family. Because of the nature of our congregation, having so many visitors, it is difficult to know everyone. An “active member” of Holy Family Catholic Church must fulfill these requirements: 1. Be registered. 2. S u p p o rts th e Church via the envelope system or electronic payment via their bank. 3. Faithfully attends Mass on Sunday and Holy Days. 4. Participates in parish activities when possible. While assessments of an inquirer’s status will be made individually, the above are the main factors that will be considered in making that determination. Pentis Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 to honor Father Pentis, an Oratorian Father, who served as Moderator for the SCCCW, providing spiritual support for more than 30 years. His work with Council was a labor of love. The SCCCW mission is to respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and society in the modern world. It strives to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in Spirituality, Leadership and Service. The scholarship was, therefore, created to encourage and promote such themes among South Carolina Catholic females graduating from area high schools and planning to attend an institution of higher education (e.g., university, college, junior college, or technical school) within South Carolina. The merit-based scholarship grants one $1,500 award to its recipient. An application must be submitted no later than April 15, 2015. Please visit www.scccw.org for complete information and to download the Application Form. Contact SCCCW President Marlene Grover at [email protected] or 843-283-4445 for questions.
