Through our Open Church initiative, St. John the Divine church is now providing a ‘Safe Haven’, as we
have joined the London Citizens CitySafe campaign. The church is open from 3 – 6pm on weekdays in
school term times. Parishioners have volunteered to be on hand to welcome anyone who visits the church,
be that to pray, to seek some peace and quiet, to find someone to talk to, or to use us as a ‘safe haven’.
Please drop in and say hello! We are looking for more volunteers – please contact Fr David if you can help
([email protected]).
Please pray for the Bishop of Busan in South Korea, who is currently in Britain. Bishop Onesimus is
th
attending training for new bishops in Canterbury, and will be coming to Mass at St. John’s on Sunday 9
February. Fr. Mark is his commissary (representative) in Britain.
Please pray for our neighbours at St. Michael’s Wyndham Road and their parish priest Mother Liz
Oglesby, as they prepare for the dedication of their new church building next Sunday at 3pm.
