MHR School Notes: Most Holy Rosary School is celebrating
Read Across America this month. The students will
participate in different activities throughout the month and
will enjoy guest readers from our community at the end of the
month. Our 1st grade class is going to the Zoo on Friday,
February 14th, to learn all they can about Rain Forests. The
rest of our students will show their Valentines Day spirit by
dressing in red and white.

CONFIRMATION: Retreat for 2014 Caniditates—Sunday,
March 9th, 9 am – 5 pm, at SU Catholic Center. Please look for
details, paperwork, and more info in the mail.
Please continue to pray for the 2014 Candidates and they prepare
for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation will be
celebrated together with St. James and Our Lady of Lourdes at
MHR on Saturday, May 3rd, at 5 PM Mass, with Bishop
Thomas Costello.
FIRST EUCHARIST: Please continue to pray for the children
as they prepare to receive Jesus in Eucharist for the first time.
These young members of our parish will celebrate First
Eucharist on Sunday, May 4th, at the 12:00 PM Mass.
Summer Servants 2014 - Week of July 20-26th an amazing indepth week for teenagers serving churches, ministries and
schools by offering a Christ-centered camp trip serving the
people of Syracuse. Teens are challenged to love God fully and
to serve, to learn that when they do that, their lives will change,
and they will have the power to bring the kingdom of God to
Syracuse and their lives. Interested or have questions, contact

Race for the Cross Youth Conference: Join over 500 youth
from around the Diocese on Saturday, March 1st, the day
includes mass with Bishop Cunningham, the Bob Rice Band,
national speaker Bob Perron, workshops, inflatables, games, and

“Creating Sabbath Space in Our Lives” — a “retreat” on
video by Ronald Rolheiser, OMI, a catholic priest, a
community-builder, lecturer and writer. His books are popular
throughout the English-speaking world and his weekly column
is carried by more than seventy newspapers worldwide.
We will not meet on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb 2nd, but will
meet again on Sunday, Feb 9th, 16th, 23rd, and March 2nd,
in MHR parish center, 6:30pm – 8:30 pm. We will explore
how to “Create Sabbath Space in our Lives”. All are
welcome to join us! If you have any questions, please contact

can you make this a reality in your life this year? Do you
have a practice that helps you enter your days and hours
mindfully? Is there a practice you would like to enter into that

The family of Anne Kompf would like to thank all those that
helped to make the funeral luncheon such a comforting and
delicious afternoon. A special thank you to Ann McGrath,
