Information sought:
Appellant through his RTI application sought information on six points with respect to his
complaint dated 18.07.2013.

Both the parties are present and heard.
Appellant sought the above information by filing an RTI application dated 10.04.2014. PIO
vide reply dated 23.05.2014 provided the point wise information to the appellant. FAA vide
order dated 25.06.2014 disposed of the appeal with the observation that the information sought
and available on record has been provided by the PIO and directed the appellant to pursue the
matter with Visakhapatnam Port Trust.
Appellant submitted that no material information has been provided to him till today.
Respondent submitted that information sought and available on record has been provided to the
appellant as the matter primarily pertains to VPT. As such the complaint of the appellant was
forwarded to Chairman, Visakhapatnam Port Trust, for appropriate action and the same was
intimated to the appellant and nothing is left at their end in this matter. On a query by the
Commission as to the RTI application of the appellant was transferred to the PIO
Visakhapatnam Port Trust, to this respondent submitted that a letter dated 30.04.2014 was
written to the Chairman, VPT, to take appropriate action and inform the appellant directly. He
further submitted that order of the FAA was also marked to Chairman, VPT.
Decision:]
After hearing both the parties, the Commission directs the respondent, CPIO Ministry of
Shipping (Ports Wing) to transfer the RTI application to the PIO Visakhapatnam Port Trust
within five days of receipt of this order, with a copy of both the RTI application and this order,
if the same has not been transferred already. PIO VPT is directed to provide information with
respect to the action taken report on the complaint of the appellant to him, within three weeks
of receipt of RTI application from CPIO Ministry of Shipping (Ports Wing) or this order, as the
case may be, under intimation to the Commission.
The appeal is disposed of accordingly.
