Weekly Offertory
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated on Friday, April, 24th at 7:00 PM. As part of
their preparation, Fr. Mukuka conducts a personal
interview with each of the candidates. The interviews are scheduled for February 14th from 1:00 to
3:00 PM.
During the winter months, we realize that it is difficult
to get to Mass during inclement weather. We appreciate your continued support of the parish and ask if
you cannot get to Mass on the weekend, please drop
your contribution in the mail or place it in the collection basket the following weekend.
The children in our first and second grade CCD
classes invite you to join them this weekend in
celebrating the first Children’s Mass of 2015. The
students are participating at the 8:30 Mass as
readers, gift bearers, and ushers.
Food Drive for Needy Seniors
Next weekend February 14-15
We are very grateful for your continued generosity. When donating food items, we ask that you take a moment to check the
expiration date of the item.
You may also donate supermarket gift cards. These are used to
purchase frozen food for seniors and to keep our shelves supplied with nutritious food items.
If you choose to purchase and donate a gift card, please place
them in one of the envelopes available at the supermarket card
purchase table and give the envelope to the person selling the
cards.
Social Justice Ministry
The Social Justice Ministry will be
making sandwiches for the “Midnight
Run” this Monday, February 9 at 5:30
PM. Volunteers are needed. If you
can help, please call Bill Lucas at 203248-5028. The sandwiches are given
to the homeless on the New Haven Green and to a

Ash Wednesday DVD Series on Catholicism
Pot Luck Supper
On Ash Wednesday, February 18, the DVD Series on
Catholicism will be shown at 7 PM following the Ash
Wednesday 5:30 PM mass.
To accommodate the time between Mass and the DVD,
we will have a pot luck supper, with food items brought
by DVD participants. We have two main dishes so far,
macaroni & cheese and broccoli & pasta, as well as a
salad. So please think about a meatless vegetable dish
or potato dish that you can contribute. Since this is Ash
Wednesday, we will not serve desserts.
You can support our Parish without
giving us a penny! Buy Supermarket
Cards for Stop & Shop, Shop Rite,
and Big Y after the weekend Masses!

Come Deepen Your Faith
The Mysteries of Catholicism are Revealed
A DVD Series by Speaker, Author, and Theologian Fr. Robert
Barron. We are continuing to offer this program at our parish

Faith. For many of us, the knowledge of our Faith is what we
remember from our younger years. The DVD will be shown
on Wednesdays during Lent at 7:00 PM. Each episode will
last for one hour, followed by a discussion for thirty minutes
based on the questions from the Study Guide.
Our Lenten episodes are scheduled as follows: February 11,
before Lent begins (episode 5), February 18, Ash Wednesday (episode 6), March 4 (episode 7) and March 18 (episode

please place your name on the sign-up sheet in the Parish Center. Optional Study Guides are available at the Parish Office
at $25 each.
