Cremers, educational consultant A professional learning environment is a social practice in which research, education and professional practice (businesses, government, societal communities) are integrated. For successful implementation of such a hybrid environment, design knowledge is needed that underpins this integration. This design knowledge is presented here as a set of seven design principles which can be used as guidelines for developing professional learning environments. 10.00 – 10.30 Break 10.30 – 11.45 Students as partners in professional and community learning, research and inquiry Prof. Mick Healey, higher education consultant and researcher This interactive session will explore how students may be engaged as partners in professional and community learning. A range of hybrid learning configurations will be identified. A set of principles for engaging students in partnerships will be proposed.
