People and businesses that donate to any qualified Scholarship Funding Organization may make a donation that equals up to 60% of her/his state income tax paid in 2013. In turn, the donor may take, with the permission of the Department of Revenue, a dollar-for-dollar credit on her/his 2014 state income tax. At the recent HTCS reception, Mrs. Greg Hembree, wife of Senator Greg Hembree, was present for the presentation. But the Blessed Mother can go to her Son Jesus and do wonders. The Knights of Columbus are offering intimate prayer devotions in your own homes to all parishioners so that every family may experience visitation for one week from our Visiting Madonna. Families will begin to experience a sense of peace, quiet and reflection while saying the Rosary as a family with Our Lady. The family that prays together stays together. If you are interested in participating in welcoming the Visiting Madonna, please call Sam Konrad at (843) 399-7003 or email him at [email protected]. Diaconate Formation Information Meeting Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston Office of the Permanent Diaconate In communion with the bishop and priests, deacons are ordained for a distinct ministry, which is indicated by their name: they are ordained for service. They function in all three areas of the Church’s life: transmission of the Word, celebrating of the sacraments, and in the community’s active love. The deacon, therefore, is more properly defined in terms of who he is rather than of what he does. He is a visible sign of the Church's call to “diakonia” — service. He is both servant and sacrament. Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora Estrella del Mar QUINTO DOMINGO DE CUARESMA "SI EL GRANO DE TRIGO QUE CAE EN TIERRA NO MUERE QUEDA INFECUNDO, PERO SI MUERE; DA MUCHO FRUTO".
