The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults The R.C.I.A. is a process of spiritual conversion and growth, over time, in one’s relationship with God and the Church. It is a faith journey where adults are fully welcomed into the Catholic Church. If you’re interested in exploring a relationship with Jesus Christ; inquiring about the Catholic Church; becoming Catholic; and being fully initiated into the Catholic Church through the celebration of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation & Eucharist, WE WELCOME YOU! I pray this letter finds you and your loved ones well and in good spirits. As the shepherd of our Diocese, it is my responsibility to nurture a response to God’s will and to provide for the holistic formation of men who entered the seminary in order to discern the priesthood. As a part of this request, on Sunday, May 17, 2015, we will take up our Annual Seminarian Collection to help in the support of the 11 men who are studying for the priesthood in our Diocese. Their formation process, which you are supporting, will provide us with future priests who are spiritually, intellectually, and pastorally ready to shepherd in Christ’s name. In addition to your financial support, I ask you to pray that more young men respond to God’s call to the priesthood; our needs in the Diocese of Charleston are great and our Catholic population continues to increase. I ask all our people in the Diocese to offer encouragement to young men to consider the priesthood and to young women to consider the call to religious life. “The Harvest is Great, but Laborers are few.” Your generosity will help provide for the spiritual needs of the Church in the Diocese of Charleston. Let us together pray that God will continue to send us good and holy priests to service his faithful people. In the Lord’s peace, Most Reverend Robert E. Guglielmone Bishop of the Diocese of Charleston NEXT WEEK— SECOND COLLECTION SEMINARY Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora Estrella del Mar QUINTO DOMINGO DE PASCUA FELIZ DIA DE LAS MADRES Queridos Hermanos: Hoy con gran gozo celebramos el día de la mamá. Cierto día, mi madre vino a visitarme. Cordialmente; Padre Orlando. EVANGELIZACION CATEQUESIS PARA ADULTOS (R.I.C.A.)
