gather in prayer and praise before
the Blessed Sacrament praying for
an increase in vocations to the
priesthood and the religious life. If
the 22nd of the month falls on
Saturday or Sunday, Adoration will
be held on the following Monday.

appreciated. Please consider donating any extras you may
have. All donations are Tax Deductible.
FSC will deliver all donations to the Life Center.
Orange Diocesan Council of Catholic Women is
collecting PLASTIC CAPS (water bottles, margarine
lids, etc.) Must be ALL plastic, no paper of metal
liners. Can be turned in at FSC office. These caps will
be used to buy wheelchairs for disabled children. WE

MATER DEI’S 2015 SPECIAL GAMES marks the 30th
Anniversary of the school’s annual outreach program.
The event will take place in Mater Dei’s Outdoor
Athletics Complex, on Saturday, April 25 at 9:00 a.m..
Sensitive to the athletic, educational and social needs of
the developmentally disabled, the event provides a noncompetitive atmosphere that promotes moral, social and
community responsibility in assisting the physically and
mentally challenged. The event will provide all who
participate with a touching experience not soon

Adult Choir at St. Polycarp
NEEDS YOU!
The Adult choir is a small, but dedicated group of fun
loving people who love to sing! They have one weekly
rehearsal on Thursday night from 7pm - 9pm and we
have goodies at every rehearsal. We sing on a rotating
schedule so Mass times vary every weekend. If you are
interested in auditioning, please call Anna Betancourt,
music director at (562) 665-4893
I’ve never sung in a choir before… There is always a
first time for everything! At rehearsal we learn and
review about proper posture, breathing and tone
production required to sing. As long as you can sing in
tune, you will be fine.
But…I can’t sing well… This is not true! Everybody
can learn to sing. The fact that singing is a natural
ability is a MYTH. Singing must be practiced. Ask any
choir member if they believe that his or her singing has
improved from being in the choir--the answer will be
yes!!! If their singing has improved, yours will too!!!
Well…I’m simply too shy to sing…First of all, you
will never be asked to sing by yourself, unless you
would like to. Also, if you are shy, what better place is
there to sing than a church choir?
No matter the great things you tell me about the
choir…I’m just too busy....Church choir is a big
commitment, however we can accommodate! You can
take as much time as you need. We are happy to have
you when you are available to sing.
Alright…why would you want me? The adult choir is
open anyone 18 years and older. We want anyone who
can sing in tune and who wants to express their love for
God through music. Making music can be a profound
experience to those who are willing to give it a try.
Music can also be intimidating; however, our church
choir strives to provide a comfortable place to pray with
music. We hope that our choir will continue to grow
throughout this season.
You know what…you convinced me. I’ve been
attending this church for years and finally I have
decided to join the choir!!

BAUTISMOS PASOS :
Papás y padrinos, deberan asistír el primer Domingo del mes a las 10:00 am para registrar a su
hijo(a) y al mísmo tiempo para tomar la clase
requerida.
Padres: Traer una copia del certificado de
nacimiento de su hijo(a). No traiga el original.
Padrinos: Traer una copia del acta de matrimonio
de la Iglesia donde se casaron.
 El Segundo Domingo de Cada mes es la
Ceremonia del Bautísmo a las 2:00 pm.
 Habra una segunda platica el Viernes despues
del Bautizo a las 7:00pm.
Costo $50 por niño; $25 si solamente toma la
plática

REQUISITOS:
Que el niño sea menor de 5 años
Que los padrinos sean Casados por la Iglesia o
solteros pero sin vivír en unión libre ninguno.
Que asistan a la entrevista y a la Plática tanto
padres como padrinos
Dependiendo de cada caso puede haber otros.
Por favor no traiga niños el día de la plática

SABOREA LA EXPERIENCIA
Una de las cosas maravillosas sobre las vacaciones
es que después de nuestro regreso nos pasamos dos
o tres semanas saboreando la experiencia,
compartiendo las fotos y recuerdos con nuestra
familia y amistades. Esta clase de reflexión nos
vincula nuevamente a la experiencia original y nos
hacer volver a vivir el descanso y las maravillas
que la vacación nos proporcionó. Hoy, el Tercer
Domingo de Pascua, la Iglesia nos da la bendición
de unos recordatorios de lo que celebramos hace
dos domingos. Las tres lecturas son reflexiones del
significado de la muerte y resurrección de Cristo.
Uno de los hilos que unen a estas reflexiones es que
el propósito del sufrimiento, la muerte y la
resurrección del Señor fue para salvarnos y
perdonar nuestros pecados. Tenemos cincuenta días
para contemplar esta realidad –cincuenta días para
saborear la experiencia de la muerte y resurrección
de Cristo por nosotros.

Los cristianos somos ¡testigos de Cristo resucitado!
Testimoniamos todo lo relacionado con Jesús de
Nazaret quien murió en una cruz, fue sepultado y
resucitó al tercer día. Debemos ser personas que
cantan y gritan ¡Resucitó, Aleluya! Tan importante
es la resurrección de Cristo que, mientras tenemos
cuarenta días de Cuaresma hay cincuenta días de
Pascua en el calendario cristiano. Durante esta
época, domingo tras domingo mediante la
proclamación del Evangelio se nos transmiten
escenas de Cristo, quien cada ocho días se aparecía
a sus discípulos confirmando cada Domingo que en
verdad había resucitado, instruyéndolos para que
pudieran ser verdaderos testigos de su resurrección.
Y ¿tú? ¿Cuán buen testigo eres? Un buen
testigo da testimonio de lo que ha visto, escuchado
y experimentado. Para ser testigo de Cristo hay que
verlo, escucharlo y experimentarlo. La Iglesia nos
da la oportunidad de verlo, escucharlo y
experimentarlo diariamente, en especial durante el
domingo. Esto es posible sólo si durante la semana
vives con el corazón abierto. Abierto para ver,
escuchar y experimentar a Jesús en tu hogar, en tu
trabajo, entre tus parientes y amistades.

Chúng ta là những giáo dân Giáo xứ Thánh Polycarp, Giáo Hội Công Giáo Rôma, Giáo phận
Orange, cùng nhau chia sẻ một niềm tin và một thần khí trong nhiều sắc dân và tập quán. Chúng ta
được kêu gọi để nên nhân chứng Tin Mừng của Chúa Kitô, được kêu mời để tôn thờ Thiên Chúa
Cha, được thành hình trong sức mạnh của Chúa Thánh Thần, cùng đón tiếp nhau và phục vụ mọi
người trong tin yêu.
Thông Báo Cộng Đoàn.
Buổi họp đặc biệt các Hội đoàn của Cộng đoàn.- Cộng
đoàn sẽ có một buổi họp đặc biệt vào lúc 2giờ trưa Chúa
Nhật ngày 19 tháng 4 năm 2015 tại phòng họp trước Đài
Đức Mẹ để thảo luận về các công tác và phân công cho 3
ngày Đại Hội Fiesta của Giáo xứ. Ban Thường vụ kính
mời quí đại diện các Hội đoàn – Đoàn thể và các ban cùng
đến tham dự đầy đủ.
Ngày Giáo Xứ chầu Thánh Thể.- Giáo xứ chầu Thánh
Thể vào Thứ Tư ngày 22 tháng 4 năm 2015. Cộng đoàn sẽ
có 2 giờ chầu: lúc 3giờ chiều do Hội Cầu Nguyện phụ
trách và 8giờ tối do hội Legio Mariae của Cộng đoàn phụ
trách. Kính mời Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa sốt sắng tham dự.
Buổi họp hai ngành của Legio Mariae.- Legio-Mariae
của Cộng đoàn sẽ có một buổi sinh hoạt cho cả hai ngành
Hoạt động và Tán trợ vào lúc 5giờ chiều Thứ Bảy ngày 25
tháng 4 năm 2015 tại phòng họp thường lệ. Kính mời quý
hội viên hai ngành cùnh tham dự.
Buổi sinh hoạt vủa Huynh Đoàn Đaminh.- Huynh Đoàn
Đaminh Vinh Sơn Liêm của Cộng đoàn sẽ có buổi sinh
hoạt vào 2giờ chiều Chúa Nhật ngày 26 tháng 4 năm 2015
tại phòng họp thường lệ. Kính mời các Đoàn viên tham dự
đông đủ.
Rửa Tội bằng tiếng Việt cho các em nhỏ.- Giáo xứ sẽ
Rửa Tội bằng tiếng Việt cho các em nhỏ trong Giáo xứ
vào lúc 2giờ30 trưa Chúa Nhật ngày 26 tháng 4 năm 2015.
Lớp hướng dẫn cho Cha Mẹ và người Đỡ Đầu từ 7 đến
9giờ tối Thứ Ba ngày 21 tháng 4 năm 2015 tại phòng
sinh hoạt trước đài Đức Mẹ. Xin có mặt đầy đủ.
Cộng đoàn tổ chức tiệc tri ân Cha Mẹ.- Để có dịp cùng
họp mặt chung vui trong Cộng đoàn, và cũng để tỏ lòng tri
ân đến các bậc sinh thành dưỡng dục, Cộng đoàn sẽ tổ
chức một bữa tiệc tri ân cha mẹ vào lúc 6giờ chiều (ngay
sau Thánh lễ 4giờ chiều Chúa Nhật) ngày Mother’s Day
10 tháng 5 năm 2015 tại nhà hàng Seafood Palace 1, địa
chỉ: 11752 Beach Blvd, Stanton, CA 90680 (gần đường
Orangewood), Giá mỗi vé 25.00 USD. Trong bữa tiệc có
phần văn nghệ cây nhà lá vườn giúp vui do các cá nhân và
các Hội đoàn - Đoàn thể trong Cộng đoàn đóng góp. Xin
Cộng đoàn Dân Chúa tích cực mua vé ủng hộ và đưa cha
mẹ và các bậc sinh thành đến tham dự. Xin đặt mua vé nơi
các ủy viên Ban Thường Vụ, Ban Chấp hành các Hôi đoàn
hoặc nơi bà Hoa (714) 787-9553, hoặc chị Thu (714) 6428712.
Lịch book phòng cho các sinh hoạt năm tới.- Để sửa
soạn cho nhu cầu phòng ốc sinh hoạt năm tới, Giáo xứ đã
có mẫu đơn mượn phòng. Xin các Hội đoàn – Đoàn thể
có nhu cầu mượn phòng ốc cho các sinh hoạt năm tới,
đến Văn phòng Giáo xứ xin đơn và điền đầy đủ chi tiết
gởi vế Văn phòng Giáo xứ để được duyệt xét.
Ngày Fiesta của Giáo xứ.- Năm nay, Giáo xứ sẽ mở Đại
hội Fiesta vào các ngày 29, 30 và 31 tháng 5 năm 2015
trong khuôn viên Thánh đường. Đây là một sinh hoạt đặc
biệt để tạo thêm sự thông cảm và tình huynh đê giữa các
sắc dân trong Giáo xứ; đồng thời tạo cơ hội để giáo dân
có dịp đóng góp công sức xây dựng Giáo xứ. Xin Cộng
đoàn Dân Chúa ủng hộ và tích cực tham gia. Xin lưu ý:
Cộng đoàn cần nhiều người tình nguyện giúp trong 3
ngày Hội Chợ. Xin ghi danh qua mẩu đơn đăng trên
trang mạng và trang facebook của cộng đoàn và chọn giờ
phụ giúp làm việc theo lịch trình phân công. Trang nhà

Buổi học hỏi tìm hiểu ơn Thiên Triệu.- trong tháng 4
năm 2015, Hội Bảo Trợ và Phát Triển Ơn Thiên Triệu
của Cộng Đồng Công Giáo Việt Nam Giáo phân Orange
có buổi sinh hoạt tìm hiểu ơn Thiên Triệu vào lúc 5giờ
đến 6giờ30 chiều Thứ Bảy ngày 25 tháng 4 năm 2015 tại
Cộng đoàn Anaheim. Xin mời các bạn trẻ sắp xếp thời
gian cùng đến tham dự. Xin quí phụ huynh nhắc nhở và
tạo điều kiện cho con em mình tham dự.
Cộng đoàn lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót.- Để đáp
lại Mạc Khải Lòng Chúa Thương Xót, Cộng đoàn tổ
chức lần chuỗi Lòng Chúa Thương Xót vào lúc 3 giờ
chiều mỗi ngày, kể cả Thứ Bảy và Chúa Nhật. Chương
trình được tóm gọn trong 30 phút gồm nghe đọc Phúc
Âm theo năm Phụng Vụ và phần suy niệm về bài Phúc
Âm trước khi lần chuỗi. Ngoài ra, trong giờ lần chuỗi
chiều Thứ Sáu đầu Tháng có mở cửa Nhà Tạm chầu
Thánh Thể và Khấn Lòng Chúa Thương Xót. Các ngày
Thứ Sáu trong tháng có khấn Lòng Chúa Thương Xót.
