Our PTA group will once again be participating in the Relay for Life event at Hart Park in Firestone this summer (July 11-‐12). Here are a few opportunities for students to help out: -‐This year Student Council has asked K-‐6 students to bring in coin and dollar donations to their classroom teacher. The class who collects the most will win a Popsicle party from Student Council. 7th and 8th grade students are having a change war. The winner will earn a Popsicle party. -‐Students can also pay $2 to wear a hat on two different days – this Friday, May 1st and May 8th. This money will also be donated to ACS. The students will receive a different colored band when they give a donation of $1 for each day to wear their hat all day at school. Students can turn in money to their classroom teacher. -‐There will be Purple Ribbons for sale May 4th-‐6th. They will cost $1 and students will wear them in honor of a loved one that has or is battling cancer and we will write down their name to create a slide show to honor and celebrate their fight.
