Thanks to all who joined us to pray for
vocations on Friday evening and we celebrate the
Year of Consecrated Life. What a blessing it would be
for our parish to have a young man or woman enter
religious life.
We welcome our students and staff from
Immaculata School back on Thursday. There is lots of
great things scheduled for this coming year and you
will be hearing more about them as time goes on.
Don't forget that a simple way to support Immaculata
is to stop by the table at the front doors of the church
and pick up some grocery cards. It really doesn't cost
anything. You give us $10 and we give you a $10 gift
card. We all need and buy groceries. A simple way to

I will be away with my family in Philadelphia

DECOLORES! All Cursillistas, their spouses and

our WNC Ultreya. July was a great gathering of

gym there will be a potluck dinner, so bring your
favorite dish or drink to share. The Ultreya starts at

The 7th Bishop Begley Conference on Appalachia –
“Connecting Elders to Resources in Western North
Carolina” will take place on Saturday, September 19,
from 10am to 3:30pm (doors open at 9am) at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church in Brevard. Featuring two
plenary presentations and four workshops on: senior
health care choices (e.g., Medicare); safety issues (e.g.,
preventing falls); avoiding identity theft, frauds and
scams; and community and family support. An event
highlight is the awarding of Catholic Charities
Growing Opportunity Grants to non-profits addressing
elder issues in the far western counties of North
Carolina. Lunch, refreshments, and door prizes are

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR MOUNTAIN
STATE FAIR: Immaculate Conception Catholic
Church is joining with St. Barnabas Parish in
sponsoring a booth at the Mountain State Fair
September 11-20, 2015. The purpose of the booth is to
reach out to the lost and broken and be a compass for
them to continue on their religious journey. This
initiative complements our new parish mission. We
need volunteers to help staff the booth during the Fair.
Being an active Catholic knowledgeable about our
faith, a good listener and a people person are the
predominate attributes that will make our booth a
success. Besides the reward of being a disciple, a few
complimentary tickets to the fair will be provided.

MINISTRY OF THE SICK: If you are unable to get
to Mass and would like to receive the Eucharist, please

minister to visit you at home or in a nursing home. If
you are hospitalized at Pardee Hospital, all you have to
do is register as a Catholic and you will be visited

hospitalized at Mission Hospital in Asheville, you

CATHOLIC DIVORCE & SEPARATED
MINISTRY meets on the 1st & 3rd Sunday at 6pm in
Meeting Room 1. This is a support group for
individuals who have experienced divorce or

MINISTRIES FOR ADDICTIONS: Substance
abuse has become a major problem in Hendersonville!
It effects our parishioners. They either have an
addiction, know someone who is addicted, or have a
family member who is suffering from this terrible
disease. There is no shame in being an addict or having
someone close to you who is addicted. The only shame
is doing nothing about it. For more information
contact Raymond Messina at 551-7404. We have
meetings the first and third Mondays for family
members and friends. (Teens welcome) The second
and fourth Mondays are for substance abusers. All
meetings are from 7-8pm in the downstairs conference
room. All discussions are strictly CONFIDENTIAL.

Faith Formation News 2015-2016
Registration: Registration for new children is
currently taking place. You may pick up a form at
the office and return it with a check. If your child
was enrolled last year please mail the check in with
your children’s name and grade on the memo line.
Faith formation grades 1-5: Sessions begin on
Sunday August 30th with a parent meeting at the
gym at 10:15 am.
Confirmation 2015: Our Confirmation date is
Wednesday, October 14th at 7pm. We will meet on
Sundays in the gym beginning August 23rd.
Sponsors are invited to attend to help their candidate
with the study guide. It promises to be a fun
morning!
Catechists are still needed please consider giving us
a hand. God will bless you abundantly and you will
grow in faith and joy!

Life Teen is open to all those in high school, including those just graduated 8th grade and
entering high school in the fall. We will not be doing regular Life Nights on Sunday nights

20º Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario
En la fe cristiana, creemos que como bautizados vamos acompañados de recibir el cuerpo y de beber la
sangre del Señor. Sólo de ese modo se realiza entre Jesús y el creyente la comunión de vida y de dinamismo
espiritual. Sólo por medio de la palabra de Dios escuchada, creída y vivida, podemos conocer el verdadero
significado de la Eucaristía. Esto es lo que Jesús nos muestra en este capítulo 6 de Juan. "Como el Padre, que
me ha enviado, posee la vida y yo vivo por él, así también el que me come vivirá por mí" (Jn 6, 57).
Y no cualquier clase de vida, sino una vida que nos permita sonreír, ser felices en este mundo cansado de violencia y
falta de Dios. Una vida que nos dé fuerzas para evadir todos los obstáculos que se nos presenten por conservar unida a la
familia, a los compañeros de trabajo y a la sociedad. Una vida con menos soledad y egoísmo entre nosotros. Una vida donde
se viva la transparencia, donde la mentira y la falsedad no tengan espacio. Una vida donde exista el poder decirle a la
esposa, al esposo, perdóname, me equivoqué. Para eso, para que tengamos una vida de calidad, es que Cristo nos ha dejado
su carne en forma de pan y su sangre en forma de vino en la Eucaristía. "El que come de este pan vivirá para siempre" (Jn 6,
58). Ojalá que al reflexionar estos domingos en el significado del sacramento de la Eucaristía, la sabiduría de Dios llene
nuestro corazón y nos haga crecer un poco más en su amor y compartirlo entre nuestros hermanos y hermanas.
Jesús les dijo: "Yo les aseguro: Si no comen la carne del Hijo del hombre y no beben su sangre, no podrán tener
vida en ustedes. El que come mi carne y bebe mi sangre, tiene vida eterna y yo lo resucitaré el último día. Mi
carne es verdadera comida y mi sangre es verdadera bebida". - Jn 6, 53-55

NOTICIAS DE FORMACIÓN DE FE
Nuestra iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción
actualmente esta tomando inscripciones para
el nuevo año de catequesis de Primera Comunión y Confirmación en la oficina de la iglesia
durante la semana. El costo por joven y niño será de
$35, y Se les pedirá los padres de familia que entreguen una copia de la fe bautismo al momento de la
registración. Las clases para la Primera Comunión
comenzaran el domingo, 30 de agosto de 12:00pm1:00pm en la escuela de la Inmaculada. (La clase de
Confirmación comenzara el miércoles, 9 de septiembre en el gimnasio de la Inmaculada y será de 7:00pm8:30pm) . Para mas información, favor de tomar llamar a oficina de la iglesia durante la semana.

ayudarnos con los programas de la formación de fe.

Queridos Feligreses,
En Su Paz,
Este fin de semana, nosotros oficialmente
inauguramos nuestra nueva aplicación
parroquial. Si no lo han hecho todavía, es muy
fácil y ustedes tendrán mucha información a
su disposición, desde el boletín semanal, lecturas
diarias, y hasta las últimas noticias Católicas y mucho
más. Es totalmente gratis y sencillo de bajar a sus
teléfonos o tabletas.
Gracias a todos los quienes nos acompañaron
para orar por las vocaciones el pasado viernes y celebrar el Año de la Vida Consagrada. Que bendición tan
maravillosa seria nuestra parroquia tuviera hombres
y mujeres jóvenes que entraran a la vida religiosa.
El próximo jueves, les damos la bienvenida a
nuestros estudiantes y maestros de la escuela de la
Inmaculada para el nuevo año escolar. Hay muchas
cosas maravillosas programadas para el próximo año
y ustedes estarán escuchando mas sobres ellas
mientras pasa el tiempo. No olviden que una manera
simple de apoyar a la escuela de la Inmaculada es
por comprar tarjetas de compas de las tiendas de
supermercados a la salida de la iglesia. Esto
realmente no les costara nada. Ustedes pagan $10
por una tarjeta y recibirán una tarjeta de compras de
$10. Todos necesitamos comprar en el
supermercado. Esto es una manera fácil de ayudar a
la escuela y no les costara nada. ¡Inténtenlo!
Comenzando el próximo viernes, yo estaré de
vacaciones con mi familia en Filadelfia por mas un
semana. Como dice el dicho, “Nos vemos en
Septiembre”.

El PROGRAMA MIGRANTE DE TELAMON
HEAD START: Ya esta inscribiendo a los niños de 6
semanas a 5 años de edad de familias agrícolas
inmigrantes. El centro está abierto de lunes a viernes

PUERTA PARA DISCAPACITADOS
Nuestra Iglesia de Inmaculada Concepción ha
instalado una puerta para discapacitados, la cual se
encuentra entre el elevador y nuestra Capilla. Antes de
entra a la iglesia, ustedes encontraran un botón a su
mano derecha que puede ser prensado para que la
puerta se abra automáticamente. Esto es algo muy útil
para los quienes se estacionan en la parte posterior de
nuestra iglesia y usan el elevador para llegar a nuestro
templo principal.

EL BAUTISMO
Los bautizos son el primer domingo del mes, después de
la Misa de la 1:30 PM. La clase de preparación, que es
un requisito para los padres y padrinos, tendrá lugar el
sábado a las 10 AM, en el Salón San Francisco. Por favor
lleven una copia del acta de nacimiento (No se aceptan
tarjetas, tiene que ser una acta con ambos nombres de
los papás). Requisitos para ser padrinos: Ser bautizado
y tener la intención de asumir las responsabilidades, tener
uso de razón, haber cumplido 18 años, estar confirmado,
haber hecho su Primera Comunión y llevar una vida de
fe. Los padrinos han de ser solteros o casados por la
Iglesia Católica. No pueden vivir en unión libre, ya que
deben de ser modelos de vida cristiana para los ahijados.
Para preguntas favor de llamar a Feliciano de la oficina al
693-6901. Los niños deben de tener la edad de 0 a 6
años. Si son mayores deberán atender la clase de la
Primera Comunión y un mes antes de terminar la
Primera Comunión serán Bautizados.

Para pedir una Misa por la intención de un ser querido,
difunto o vivo, llame a las oficinas de la iglesia al
693-6901 en horas laborales (lunes a jueves, 8:30AM4:30 PM, y viernes 8:30 AM-1:00 PM). Se necesita pedir
la Misa con al menos cuatro meses de anticipo. Se
acostumbra dar una ofrenda.
ALCOHÓLICOS ANÓNIMOS
Es una comunidad de hombres y mujeres que comparten
su mutua experiencia, fortaleza y esperanza para resolver
su problema común y ayudar a otros a recuperarse del
alcoholismo. El único requisito para ser miembro de
A.A. es tener el deseo de dejar la bebida. Para mas
información sobre los horarios, favor de llamar a Enrique

TIENDA DE AVE MARIA: Contamos con Biblias,
rosarios, medallas, libros de oración, crucifijos, estatuas,
tarjetas de oración, regalos sacramentales y mucho mas!
Estamos localizados en la calle 718 Oakland, cual se
encuentra atrás de la escuela de la Inmaculada. Para mas

funcionamiento son de martes a viernes de 10AM-5PM.
¿POR QUÉ DEBO REGISTRARME EN MI PARROQUIA? Registrarse es muy importante para poder inscribir
a sus hijos en el colegio Immaculata, para el matrimonio,
para bautizos, Quinceañeras, y para cartas de recomendación (Inmigración) de la Iglesia diciendo que usted pertenece a nuestra congregación. En los archivos parroquiales estará su nombre y será fácil encontrarlo cuando usted solicite
algo. Cada mes se le enviaran los sobres para la limosna
con su nombre y cuando utiliza los sobres de la donación, la
oficina parroquial reconoce que usted es un miembro activo
de nuestra congregación. La cantidad donada no importa, su
ayuda sí. El paquete de registración lo pueden encontrar en
el cuarto de las novia (a un lado de baño de las mujeres), y
también puede ser encontrado en la oficina de la iglesia.

LA PRESENTACIÓN DE LOS NIÑOS
Cada segundo domingo del mes se invita a los niños y
niñas que cumplen los tres años ese mes para recibir
una bendición especial, junto con sus padres y
padrinos. Al igual que José y María cuando llevaron al
Niño Jesús al templo para consagrarlo al Señor,
también reconocemos que los hijos son de Dios, y a Su
servicio y cuidado se los encomendamos. Para poder
participar, deberá darle al Padre Roberto un
papelito con el nombre del niño o la niña
claramente escrito antes de empezar la Misa. El
Padre Roberto los invitará a subir al santuario después
de la celebración de la Eucaristía.
INFORMACIÓN SOBRE DONDE CONSEGUIR AYUDA
Si quiere saber a donde y como conseguir ayuda para
atención médica, cuidado de niños, necesidades
básicas como comida, alojamiento, luz y agua,
consejería, u otros servicios humanitarios, solo tiene
que marcar el 2-1-1 y explicarle a la operadora cual es
su necesidad. Se habla español de 3 a 7 PM, y le darán
el nombre, dirección y teléfono de la agencia donde
puedan prestarle ayuda.
AVISO Puede conseguir muebles, ropa y artículos
para el hogar en el depósito del Buen Samaritano, a
un lado del Colegio Inmaculada. Abrimos los martes
de 5PM a 7PM, y los sábados de 10AM a 12PM.
También si usted tiene muebles, artículos para donar
en buena condición llame a Feliciano de la oficina para
hacer su donación. 693-6901.
MINISTERIO DE CUIDADO DE LOS ENFERMOS Si usted tiene algún familiar o conocido de la
comunidad que se encuentre enfermo y desea que se le
visité o se le lleve la Santa Comunión, bien sea en la
casa donde éste reside u hospital, puede comunicarse
con Feliciano de la oficina al 693-6901.

PUESTO DE OPORTUNIDADES DE TRABAJO
Nuestra iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción cuenta con
un puesto de oportunidades de trabajos para personas
quienes estén buscando un empleo o para quienes estén
necesitando trabajadores. Este puesto de trabajos está
colocado en la parte exterior del segundo piso de la iglesia, al lado izquierdo de donde está la entrada principal
de la oficina de la iglesia. Si ustedes desean poner un
anuncio en este puesto para solicitar un empleo o para
