Cofradía del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús
Invitamos a todos los feligreses a participar en la devoción al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Celebramos la Hora
Santa el primer viernes de cada mes a las 8:00 p.m., y la

Al finalizar la Santa Eucaristía, nos reunimos en el sótano
de la Iglesia. ¡Acompáñenos!
XXI Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario
Jesús reveló algunas de sus sublimes enseñanzas en el
capítulo 6 del Evangelio según San Juan. Habló de su
relación con el Padre y con nosotros en su carácter de pan
de vida. Los oyentes pudieron vislumbrar algo de Jesús
como el “Yo Soy”, que trasciende todas las fronteras que
limitan y definen nuestra existencia humana.
Estas enseñanzas eran tan profundas que fueron una piedra de tropiezo para muchos de los contemporáneos de
Jesús porque trataron de entender las cosas divinas con su
intelecto puramente humano, hasta que llegó el momento
inevitable de que las palabras de Cristo (especialmente
sobre la Eucaristía) se les hicieron imposibles de aceptar
y muchos dejaron de seguir al Señor. ¡Qué tragedia! La
propia enseñanza que rechazaban era el don de Jesús, bajo otra forma, que fortalecía a sus seguidores.
Al comunicarnos su palabra, Cristo nos confiere la sabiduría que necesitamos para vivir como Dios espera. Al
concedernos sabiduría, Jesús se entrega él mismo completamente a nosotros en la Palabra y en el Sacramento Eucarístico. La Palabra y la Eucaristía son el alimento que
nos fortalece para vivir cristianamente aquí en la tierra.
De esta forma, él mismo viene a ser el manantial del que
mana la vida para que así tengamos vida eterna.
Pero a pesar de este don, algunos se apartaron porque no
dejaron que esta verdad les llegara al corazón. Como lo
dijo San Bernardo: “Para algunos es evidente que las palabras de Jesús son espíritu y vida, por eso pueden seguirlo. Otros encuentran que sus palabras son inaceptables y
optan por buscar satisfacción en cosas detestables” (Sermones sobre varias ocasiones, 5). A nosotros se
nos presenta la misma disyuntiva: decidir entre Jesús o el
mundo, y preferir el mundo es sin duda algo detestable.
Como misión principal de la Cofradía, es nuestro deber
llevar oración (el Santo Rosario) e instrucción bíblica a
las casas necesitadas. Si usted necesita oración, o sabe de
algún hogar por el que se deba orar, por favor llame a:
“Señor Jesucristo, ¿a quién podemos ir? Tus palabras son palabras de vida eterna. Abre nuestro intelecto, Señor, para que
sepamos entender tu palabra y ser dóciles a la acción del Espíritu Santo en nuestro corazón.”
