May 2nd is the 1st Friday of the month and there will be a
Mass and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
The 10th of May is Hike for Life. Many are sponsoring
my walk, but since I will be away, I have asked a
parishioner to walk the “Hike” for me.
I hope you CONTINUE to take advantage of our many
opportunities to enhance your Lenten Devotion. You have
several choices to participate in the Way of the Cross each
week. Time flies by quickly, so please try to support a Friday
night Soup and Bun event – don’t miss out on this
“heartwarming” event. A chef has cooked up a new batch for
us. Please come to Confession either on Sat., Wed., or as
below in preparation for our Easter Season.

Lent and Easter offer wonderful faith experiences in all
the different parishes. Priest are allowed to have an
Easter break after their exhausting schedule.
This year, instead of having the break right after Easter,
I will have it the last week of April. No Masses will be
celebrated Tues., April 29, Wed. April 30th and Thurs.
May 1st.
Did you know that Together in Action funds provide for
the lease of a Handi-Bus here in Calgary? We can do
so much more as a collective group of Catholic
Churches in Southern Alberta.
Our donations to Together in Action helps us as we help
others. Our goal for 2014 “Faith Working through Love”
is $29,706.30 We hope to exceed our assigned goal, as we
have to do repairs for our flat roof and now, it seems that soon,
we will be looking at a need to upgrade our security system as
it too is aging. Have a heart, please be generous.
