The Liturgy of the Day
a la Liturgia del Día
Christ is risen, truly risen! On
this, the central feast day of the
Church, we come dressed in
Easter finery, filled with the
hope of new life. As we
proclaim God’s word, renew
our baptismal promises, and
join together in the great
Eucharistic Feast, let us be
inspired to go forth into our
lives
proclaiming
the
marvelous deeds that God has
done for us.
¡Cristo ha resucitado! En este
día en que la Iglesia celebra su
fiesta central de la Pascua
venimos vestidos de gala y llenos
de esperanza en una vida nueva.
Al proclamar la palabra de
Dios,
renovar
nuestras
promesas
bautismales
y

somos inspirados a seguir a Jesús por amor;
pero pueda que también nuestro mundo esté
“todavía oscuro”. Junto a otros contemporáneos
nuestros, aun entre los creyentes, pueda que
algunas veces tengamos que admitir que “no
sabemos dónde” está Jesús. Aunque estamos

CHRIST RENEWS HIS PARISH
This is why the early Christians moved the
Church’s Sabbath from Saturday, the Jewish Sabbath,
to Sunday, the day of the Resurrection of Jesus. In
fact, the Church from the earliest days until today,
understands weekly gathering for Sunday liturgy as a
“little Easter,” since the Mass is a celebration and
sacrifice of the death and Resurrection of Christ each
time.
EASTER CHUKLES
All I need to know I
learned from the
Easter Bunny
Don’t put all your eggs in one
basket.
Everyone needs a friend who is
all ears.
There’s no such thing as too much candy.
All work and no play can make you a basket case.
Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits.
Keep your paws off of other people’s jelly beans.
Good things come in small, sugar coated packages.
The best things in life are still sweet and sugary.
May all of us be overflowing with joy today!
May we be eager and anxious to share our faith in the
Risen Christ with everyone we meet! May we freely
tell of all the wonderful blessings that this brings to
our own lives. May we especially share this message
with those who do not have faith or who are finding it
difficult to rejoice and be hopeful! Our Easter
message sends us on a mission. It is a call for us to
whole-heartedly live that message and all it means May the Joy of Easter fill your heart.
each day of our lives among everyone we meet!
AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU! HAPPY EASTER!
