進級、進学基準および卒業条件
Program Progression プログラム進学
KIST defines 3 program progression stages as follows:
KIST は 3 つのプログラムの進学段階を以下のように規定する。
 From Grade K3 of the Early Childhood Education program to Grade 1
ECE の K3 から Grade1
 From Grade 5 of the PYP to Grade 6 of the MYP
PYP の Grade5 から MYP の Grade6
 From Grade 10 of the MYP to Grade 11 of the DP
MYP の Grade10 から DP の Grade11
When considering a student for program progression, Progression Criteria A through D (as listed below)
are considered collectively by the administration of the school. Final decisions regarding program
progression are at the discretion of the Head of School.
生徒のプログラム進学が審議される際、学校のアドミニは以下に述べた判断基準 A から D を考
慮する。プログラム進学の最終決定は総校長の裁量による。
Students not meeting one or more of the criteria may be:
 required to enter school provided enrichment program(s) in applicable subjects available
before/after school and/or during the summer school holiday as advised by the school
 progressed to the next educational program on a conditional basis
 required to repeat a grade level
 denied progression to the next educational program at the school
生徒が基準に一つ以上該当しなかった場合、以下の措置がとられることがある：
 学校の指定するプログラム（夏休み中/授業前/放課後）への参加を求められる
 条件付き進学
 留年を求められる
 次のプログラムへ進学出来ない
Grade Progression 進級
When considering a student in grades 3 and above for grade promotion, only Progression Criteria D
(Academic Performance) as described below is considered by the administration of the school. Final
decisions regarding grade progression are at the discretion of the Head of School.
生徒の Grade3 以上の進級が審議される際、学校のアドミニは以下に述べた判断基準 D（学問
的成績）のみを考慮する.学年進級の最終決定は総校長の裁量による。
Students not meeting Progression Criteria D may be:
 required to enter school provided enrichment program(s) in applicable subjects available
before/after school and/or during the summer school holiday as advised by the school
 progressed to the next grade level on a conditional basis
 required to repeat a grade level
 required to transfer to another school
生徒が判断基準 D に該当しなかった場合、以下の措置がとられることがある：
 学校の指定するプログラム（夏休み中/授業前/放課後）への参加を求められる
 条件付き進級
 留年を求められる
 他校への転校を求められる

A. Social and Emotional Development
社会的、情緒的発達
The student:

is academically motivated with a positive attitude

is emotionally able to handle the academic demands for the next grade level

makes decisions which are consistently responsible, respectful and safe

works well with others.
生徒は：

勉学において高いモチベーションと前向きな姿勢を持っている

情緒的に次の学年での学習レベルに対応出来る

一貫して責任感と敬意を持って、安全な判断を下せる

他と協働出来る。
B. Parent Support and Involvement
保護者のサポートと関与
Parents and/or guardians are:

committed to the school’s vision, mission and educational philosophy and programmes

support their child’s academic progress at home

supporting school activities and participate in the School Support Programme

communicate with the school.
保護者は：

学校のビジョン、ミッション、教育理念とプログラムに徹している

家庭において子供の学問的進歩をサポートしている

学校の活動をサポートし、スクールサポートプログラムにも参加している

学校とコミュニケーションをとっている
C. Attendance 出席
The student:

attends at least 90% of instructional days (based on enrollment dates), unless otherwise arranged
with the Head of School (this is no more than 19 days absence in a full academic year).
生徒は：

総校長による別段の取決めがない場合に、授業日数（入学日を基準とする）の少なくとも
90％に出席していること（1 学年度につき 19 日以下の欠席に相当）。
D. Academic Performance
学業成績
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL エレメンタリースクール
Grades 3 (to 4) and 4 (to 5) 3 年生から 4 年生、4 年生から 5 年生
The student:

has attained at least the expected sublevel for the beginning of the grade to be completed on Key
Stage diagnostic testing

has the academic recommendation of the Elementary School Principal
生徒は：

Key Stage の診断テストにおいて少なくとも学年始めに求められるサブレベルの成績を収めて
いる

エレメンタリー校長から学業における推薦状を受けている。
Grade 5 (to 6) - PYP to MYP progression 5 年生から 6 年生－PYP から MYP への進学
In grade 5, the student:

has attained at least the expected sublevel for the beginning of the grade to be completed on Key
Stage diagnostic testing

has the academic recommendation of the Elementary School Principal
５年生の生徒は：

Key Stage の診断テストにおいて少なくとも学年始めに求められるサブレベルの成績を収めて
いる

エレメンタリー校長からの学業における推薦状を受けている。
SECONDARY SCHOOL セカンダリースクール
Middle Years Programme
ミドルイヤーズプログラム
Course credit is awarded to all students who attain a minimum grade of 4 (on the IB 1-7 grade scale) in English
and Mathematics and a minimum grade of 3 in any other course.
単位は（ＩＢの１－７のスケールにおいて）数学と英語で 4 以上、その他の科目で最低３以上の成
績を収めた全ての生徒に与えられる。
Language, Humanities, Science and Mathematics courses are categorized as Academic Foundation
courses at KIST.
言語、人文学、サイエンス、数学の科目は KIST において学業基礎科目として分類されている。
Secondary school students who do not obtain course credits in two or more of the Academic Foundation
courses for any academic year may be retained at their current grade level for the following academic
year. Any student not attaining credit for Mathematics and/or English is a candidate for grade retention,
regardless of academic standing in other Academic Foundation courses.
学業基礎科目において２つ以上単位を取得出来なかったセカンダリーの生徒は留年する場合が
ある。また、数学と英語において単位を取得出来なかった生徒は他の学業基礎科目の成績にか
かわらず留年の対象となる。
Note: the expected range for ISA scores is defined by the school as a score being above one standard
deviation below the like school mean in all four assessed components (Mathematical Literacy, Reading,
Narrative Writing and Expository Writing)
注：求められる ISA のスコアの範囲が学校により規定されており、4 つの全ての評価要素（数
学リテラシー、リーディング、物語ライティング、解説的ライティング）において他の同じよ
うな学校の平均標準偏差値圏の下のラインより上であること
Grades 6 (to 7), 7 (to 8), 8 (to 9) ６年生から７年生、７年生から８年生、８年生から９年生
The student:

has International School Assessment (ISA) scores in the expected range for
grade level in all components of the exam
has attained at least the expected sublevel for the beginning of the grade to
be completed on Key Stage diagnostic testing

has attained at least 24 course credits for the grade to be completed,
awarded as outlined in the table on the right

has made significant effort towards attaining the published grade level
expectations for Service@KIST.

Grade 9-10

has International School Assessment (ISA) scores in the expected range for
grade level in all components of the exam

has attained at least a grade of ‘D’ on IGCSE Mathematics diagnostic testing

has attained at least 24 course credits for the grade to be completed,
awarded as outlined in the table on the right

has made significant effort towards attaining the published grade level
expectations for Service@KIST.

Grade 10 (to 11) - MYP to DP progression 10 年生から 11 年生－MYP から DP への進学
The student:

has attained at least a ‘C’ on IGCSE Mathematics diagnostic testing

has attained the published grade level expectations for Service@KIST

has attained at least 24 course credits for the grade to be completed, awarded as outlined in the
table on the right

has attained a minimum grade of 3 on the MYP Personal Project.
生徒は：

IGCSE 数学診断テストにおいて少なくとも C 以上の成績を収めている

Service@KIST (C&S)において公開されている学年レベルの期待値に達している

右の表に概説しているように、その学年で合計少なくとも２４単位を終了、取得している。

MYP Personal Project において３以上の成績を収めている。
Diploma Programme ディプロマプログラム
Grade 11 (to 12) – automatic continuance in full DP 11 年生から 12 年生-自動的にフルディプロマへの進級
The student:

has attained at least 24 points total in the six subjects, with no grades of ‘2’ or below

has attained at least 12 points from HL subjects

has made satisfactory progress in ToK, CAS and the Extended Essay
生徒は

6 科目総計で 24 点以上を取得し、どの科目においても 2 や 2 以下の成績がない。

ハイレベルの科目で少なくとも 12 点取得している。

ToK, CAS, Extended Essay において普通の進歩がある。
Graduation requirements 卒業条件
Certificate of Graduation (at the end of grade 12) 12 年生終了時卒業資格の授与

Visual Art
All students meeting DP requirements also receive the KIST Certificate of Graduation upon the
completion of grade 12. Should a student not meet DP requirements, the KIST Certificate of Graduation
is awarded to KIST graduates who:

completed Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity Action and Service (CAS), and the Extended Essay

has attained at least 16 points total in the DP courses taken, with no grades of ‘2’ or below in HL
courses
DP の要件を満たした全ての生徒は 12 年生終了時において KIST 卒業資格も授与される。DP の要
件を満たさなかった生徒は以下に該当することで、KIST 卒業資格を授与される。

TOK、CAS、および課題論文を達成している。

DP で少なくとも合計 12 点取得しており、ハイレベル科目で 2 以下がないこと。
終了証の授与（12 年生終了時）
Certificate of Completion (at the end of grade 12)
Should a student not meet the Certificate of Graduation requirements, the KIST Certificate of Completion
is awarded to KIST graduates who:

completed Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity Action and Service (CAS), and the Extended Essay

completed all course requirements

met the attendance requirements stated herein (Criteria C)
KIST 卒業資格条件を満たさなかった生徒は以下に該当することで終了証が授与される。

TOK、CAS、および課題論文を達成している。

全てのコース要件を達成している。

基準 C に述べられている出席条件を満たしている。
