December 12, 2014 “If You Give an Animal a Treat…” Our SLC 1 Production is this Friday, December 19th at 9:45am! We are excited to share this performance with our students and families in SLC 1! • • • • Thank you to all families who attending parent teacher conferences this week! I received much positive feedback about the conferences. If you did not have an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher, please reach out to them to schedule a conference. A very special thank you to parents Gina Chung Fortt, Kaya Miller and Linda Kow and also teacher Fern Seaman for organizing and supporting at tables on the first and second floor during conferences to provide families with samples of books at all reading levels as well as helpful resources for families for reading with your children at home! Report Cards will be distributed on Monday, December 15, 2014. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions regarding your child’s report card. We will celebrate our Peaceful Picnic with the Principals this Thursday for all December Bucket Fillers! Nishuane’s Annual Holiday Gift Giving Dear Nishuane Family, thank you so much for your amazing outpouring of generosity during the Holiday Giving project. It is truly heartwarming to see the number of items people have committed to providing to help other Nishuane families this holiday season. We are very lucky to have such a warm, giving spirit in our special school community. We do still have a few remaining items on the Sign Up Genius website. If you have not dropped your gifts off in the school office yet, please do so by MONDAY, DECEMBER 15th. Please let us know if you are having trouble finding an item or if its shipping gets delayed. Also, if you are sending your items in your child’s backpack, please let us know so that we can be on the lookout for them. Farmingo is coming to Nishuane Our Health & Wellness committee has organized the launch of Farmingo to the Nishuane School Community. Farmingo brings locally grown foods to you with the convenience of online ordering. Weekly orders placed online will be delivered to our school parking lot each Monday for pick up between 3-4:30pm.
