Puma Trail Run Entries Open!
Buffelspoort – Online entries for the breathtakingly beautiful PUMA Trail Run presented by
ISUZU, opened on Wednesday, 01 October 2014.
Forming part of the action of South Africa’s largest off-road triathlon, the Totalsports XTERRA
presented by REHIDRAT SPORT, the PUMA Trail Run incorporates the XTERRA trail run routes
and will take place in Buffelspoort on Sunday, 25 January 2015 and in Grabouw (Western Cape)
on Saturday, 21 February 2015.
“PUMA is an exciting, innovative and fun brand,” Michael Meyer, Director Stillwater Sports said.
“Having PUMA on board will definitely add a new dimension to the event. Trail runners will have
the ideal opportunity to experience the amazing XTERRA vibe, while only having to take on one
of the three XTERRA disciplines. We look forward to welcoming both experienced runners and
newcomers to the sport to the PUMA Trail Run. We encourage all to come enjoy the spectacular
trail run routes and XTERRA hospitality”.
Cash prizes will be up for grabs in the long routes, while all competitors (long and short route)
are eligible to win spectacular sponsor prizes.

Go, North West! RHS wenners van die
North West – Celebrating South Africa’s cultural diversity between 21 and 24 September,
118 competitors gathered in Pretoria to participate in the nine sporting codes of diketo, dibeke,
morabaraba, jukskei, kgati, khokho, driestokkies,
ncuva and intonga.
‘My roots, my pride, my future’ was the theme for
the 2014 annual Indigenous Games presented
by the department of culture and traditional affairs to promote mass participation by the youth
in rural areas where there are little or no recreational facilities.
MEC Tebogo Modise congratulated the North
West team on their second place after KwaZulu
Natal; saying she and the province “…are very
proud of this team for doing their best in representing the province so well nationally. You did
not only do it for yourselves, but for the entire
NW province and I want to take this moment to
say well done”.
From 4 to 11 October, the province will be hosting a camp for 300 born-free participants at the
Warthog Hotel in Brits.

a healthy lifestyle fun run/walk
on 11 October, aiming to promote fitness and overall health
through a large variety of activities the whole family can participate in.
The event starts at 07:00 for
07:30 and the entry fees are R30
for the 5km walk/run and R50 for
the 10km walk/run. Registration forms can be obtained from
ABSA branches, local schools
and Olympia Park stadium.
