Title: “Gender Balance on Youth Projects” Type of Event: Erasmus+ YiA KA1 Training Course Dates: March, 10-17 2015 Location: Van,Turkey Participants : 27 Participants ( 3 participants per Country ) For Whom: youth leaders and youth workers, trainers and educators working with youth (especially with young people with fewer opportunities) from Poland, Macedonia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Italy, Croatia, United Kingdom, Romania and Turkey. Project Idea Exchange experiences between youth workers and young people confronted to the diﬃculties to ﬁnd a gender balance in terms of participation in local or international youth projects, spaces, organisations and activities, in order to open ways allowing to work on equality at the level of citizenship and participation. In the end of the project, participants will gain an opportunity to experience the gender mainstreaming and the social inclusion topic and they will use the competences and skills on their youth projects. In a long run, we aim to : - Increasing the visibilty of the LBGT and Womens in project - Creating the awareness about the gendermainstreaming topic - Equipping youthworkers and developing the youthworkers skills about the gendermainstreaming topic Aims & Methodology & Language The aims of the project are; - Exchanging good practices about the gender equality on youth projects - Increasing the visibility of the disadvantaged people within the focus of Gender balance - Equip Youthworkers for the Gender Mainstreaming topic and leading the activities which has focus on gender mainstreaming All Training course will be based non-formal training methods, which are: -Simulation Games -Forum Theatre and Role Plays -Teamwork and Discussions -Outdoor Activities -Visual Presentations and Visual Work. Language of the training will be in English, but Trainer team will be able to support participants in German and also in French languages. Accommodation & Schedule Arrival: 10th of March before the dinner. Departure: 17th of March in the after the lunch. Accommodation includes shared double/triple rooms, on full board, coﬀee breaks and the use of conference facilities. Participants will be sharing a double or triple room with one or two people of the same gender. Each room has one bathroom; towels and bed linen are provided. Health Insurance Health insurance is not provided and will not be reimbursed by the organisers. All participants are strongly advised to purchase private travel insurance, as costs of private health care in Turkey are quite expensive. Weather Average temperature in March in Van is +15 - +20 degree Celcius. Please check the weather forecast before coming to Van and make sure that you have an appropriate cloth. We will be staying almost in the hotel except than the excursions, just in case beaware of the weather and bring your warm clothes. Travel Costs According to new rules of Erasmus+, we will recover till the amounts indicated on the table on below. Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon the presentation of all including documents , receipt/invoices and boarding passes and we will do the reimbursements during the training. But the participants should sent all documents regarding to their travel after your return, scanned and hard copies. Reimbursements will be done in EUR, regardsless of currency indicate on the ticket and receipt/invoice. All the currency exchange rates can be checked from the currency platform of EU Commission.
