Make SLD on 3rd February a superb day!!
Your aim is to end this day feeling exhausted and proud of your accomplishments.
Most year 11 students will be working in either ICT in preparation for the upcoming
exam or in MFL working toward the final Controlled Assessment. Each student has
been selected to work with a department to prepare for best GCSE exam
preparation. SLD is an IMPORTANT day.

Have you got your 5?
Check your last report and see if you are currently predicted
to get 5 GCSEs at your TMG. NO?? Then it is time for an action plan. Speak to subject teachers/Form Tutors/ House
Directors/Mr Hobbs and Mrs Curcillo for advice on how to get
your 5. Employers and higher/further education
establishments will be looking for your 5. Even when you are
40 years old employers will still want to see your GCSE
Maths/English results. THAT IS A FACT NOT FICTION!
GCSE PEMonday lunchtimes is
targeted GCSE PE
intervention with
small mentoring
groups. Students
should be aware of
when they are
required to attend
but should check
SIMS/lesson monitor
red flags.
Your Controlled Assessments must be
completed in 10 days time. You
should be working DAILY on securing
the best grade possible in your
Controlled Assessments. THIS IS AS
MUCH AS 60% OF YOUR GCSE GRADE
IN SOME SUBJECTS.
You should
be working on it lunch/after school
and weekends- whenever you can as
1 point can be all you need to secure
that better grade?
All students should bring REVISION GUIDES & WORKBOOKS to
all Science lessons / tutor times.
Prom Rep
Each Tutor Group needs to send the
name of their representative to Mrs
Curcillo by 6th February so we can
start planning the Prom incorporating your wishes to make it a perfect
and memorable event.
Will you be coming to AT on 27th March- Do
you have your AT Pass yet?? . Are you ready
for a great day out? You will need to complete
your Alton Towers Pass. Start logging those
stamps- do NOT leave it to the last minute.
Private tutoring would cost you around £25 per
hour, if you were lucky enough to find one!- SHS
teachers are giving their time up for you free of
charge! So make the most of it and attend whilst
it is on offer!
Focus on………..
REVISION new
