Make SLD on 3rd February a superb day!! Your aim is to end this day feeling exhausted and proud of your accomplishments. Most year 11 students will be working in either ICT in preparation for the upcoming exam or in MFL working toward the final Controlled Assessment. Each student has been selected to work with a department to prepare for best GCSE exam preparation. SLD is an IMPORTANT day. Coursework Deadline 2nd—13h March - Have you got your 5? Check your last report and see if you are currently predicted to get 5 GCSEs at your TMG. NO?? Then it is time for an action plan. Speak to subject teachers/Form Tutors/ House Directors/Mr Hobbs and Mrs Curcillo for advice on how to get your 5. Employers and higher/further education establishments will be looking for your 5. Even when you are 40 years old employers will still want to see your GCSE Maths/English results. THAT IS A FACT NOT FICTION! GCSE PEMonday lunchtimes is targeted GCSE PE intervention with small mentoring groups. Students should be aware of when they are required to attend but should check SIMS/lesson monitor red flags. Your Controlled Assessments must be completed in 10 days time. You should be working DAILY on securing the best grade possible in your Controlled Assessments. THIS IS AS MUCH AS 60% OF YOUR GCSE GRADE IN SOME SUBJECTS. You should be working on it lunch/after school and weekends- whenever you can as 1 point can be all you need to secure that better grade? All students should bring REVISION GUIDES & WORKBOOKS to all Science lessons / tutor times. Prom Rep Each Tutor Group needs to send the name of their representative to Mrs Curcillo by 6th February so we can start planning the Prom incorporating your wishes to make it a perfect and memorable event. Will you be coming to AT on 27th March- Do you have your AT Pass yet?? . Are you ready for a great day out? You will need to complete your Alton Towers Pass. Start logging those stamps- do NOT leave it to the last minute. Private tutoring would cost you around £25 per hour, if you were lucky enough to find one!- SHS teachers are giving their time up for you free of charge! So make the most of it and attend whilst it is on offer! Focus on……….. REVISION new All students should now have the new revision timetable stuck in their diary. Forgot your Diary- don’t worry- you can also view the updated revision timetable on our amazing website. Please check the timetable as some timeslots and venues have changed! PROVISIONAL TIMETABLE The provisional copy of your final examinations are displayed in your TUTOR room and you have been given a copy to glue into your diary. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP CHECKING the timetable for changes in due course.
