School, My Family, My home, My free time,
What is my city/town like? The Past tense is
introduced along with the future tense so
as to add interest and enhance writing
and speaking skills,

Topics covered in year 8 prepare students
for the demands made at KS4 and include
mediums of communication, school life,
healthy living & keeping fit, the
importance of languages in today’s world,
& Modern Spanish/Hispanic History

Name of GCSE course (GCSE only)
AQA GCSE Spanish is taken from year 9 to
year 11. All materials studied are from
authentic Spanish sources. Activ Teach,
an interactive resource, is used via the
school’s VLE for homework and activities in
lessons.
The GCSE comprises:
2 speaking Controlled Assessments
2 written Controlled Assessments
These are completed at appropriate
