JORNADA MACMILLAN DE FORMACION BILINGÜE 26 DE FEBRERO DE 2015 17:30 ‐20:00 PRIMARIA “Let’s get cooperative!” Margie Marc SECUNDARIA “Techniques for Learning Vocabulary” Robin Walker *Haremos un descanso de 18:30 a 19:00 hs. “Let’s get cooperative!”: (1‐6 EP): Children are social beings but they don’t always know how to work together in a classroom context. This session will provide practical ideas and strategies to encourage pupils to share responsibility and work together cooperatively, thus maximizing engagement and developing a positive learning atmosphere in your class. “Techniques for Learning Vocabulary”: What do we mean when we claim that we ‘know’ a word? What do we ‘know’ about it? And how can we help language students to learn all the words they need to know in order to be able to express themselves? In this session we’ll be answering these questions, and at the same time we’ll be looking at a range of tricks and techniques that will make learning new vocabulary a less onerous task than it sometimes is.
