Evaluate & report on current board practices; research, present
and assist in the implementation of the best board practices.
2 hours/month outside of regular board meetings
All duties will occur
year-long based
upon the
development of an

Bi-monthly committee meetings and occasional
commitments to support the adopted fundraising
activities of the committee.

Communicate our programs and
services to the public.
Contribute ideas, suggestions, and organizational leadership in
planning activities which will generate financial support; Lead,
facilitate, and participate in the activities adopted by the
Committee; Nominate and cultivate new members to the
Committee.
Establish a timeline announcing, collecting, evaluating, and
awarding the grants; Establish a protocol for evaluating the
grants; Establish a team of Grant Readers to evaluate the
applications and make selections; Recommend the amount of
annual funding needed to the Finance Committee and Board of
Directors; Plan and implement an Awards Ceremony,
collectively or with each District of Charter Governing Board;
Provide publicity ideas to the Publicity Committee in regard to
this committee.
Work with committee chairs to develop and distribute
information about the activities of the Foundation.
Recognize and honor outstanding
teachers in Yavapai County
Oversee the TOY nomination and selection process, banquet
arrangements, and publicity (see checklist).
An average of two (2) hours/month
Pre-planning – 1 hour; Announce grant opportunities
to schools – September 30; Collect and distribute grant
applications – 2 hours – November 1; Evaluation of
grant applications – 1 day; Award grants to recipients
– 1 day; Attend award ceremonies - ?; Provide
information to Publicity Committee about recipients
and awards – 1 hour; Review committee activities and
make report to the Board of Directors – November
meeting.
