JOB PURPOSE
Support the implementation of high impact Public Affairs activities by making tangible
contributions in event management and particularly in the setting up of new media platform.
Support and drive a culture of high performance, teamwork and continuous improvement that
values learning and commitment to quality.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
 Support Chief Public Affairs Officer (CPAO) in the development and delivery of the Council’s
new media communication strategy to enhance the Council’s visibility and influence across
key stakeholder groups. Responsible for project management at implementation level,
quality control and timely delivery.
 Assist CPAO to launch interactive tools, such as on-line polling or feedback messaging, via
internet to enhance the Council’s accessibility to community as well as to improve its
administrative efficiency.
 Responsible for the generation of online content that engages audience segments and leads
to measurable results. Ensure correctness and data integrity of the Council's website by
proof-reading, updating content regularly and coordinate cross division reviews.
 Support CPAO in the review of the long standing “CHOICE” magazine. Accountable for the
implementation of the business plan to sustain and further grow the magazine’s popularity.
 Perform research, copywriting and trend monitoring support to explore publicity
opportunities on both traditional and new media channels. Leverage tools available on-line
to measure campaign effectiveness.
 Occasionally, provide translation and editing support to the production of the Council's
publications, including annual report and CHOICE magazine.
 Team player with the confidence to take lead when needed. Result-oriented, accountable
and willing to go the extra mile.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Academic requirement
 Degree holder in Communications, Public relations or related discipline.
 5 years of working experience in corporate communications or public relations in sizable
organizations.

Hands-on experience is the planning, execution and measurement of new media campaigns
is a MUST, including knowledge in social media tools or mobile Apps, such as on-line polling,
feedback messaging.
 Experience in Marketing Communication and / or Media Engagement is a definite
advantage.
Knowledge, skills & experience
 Display excellent knowledge and understanding of new media platforms and their
respective participants. Practical knowledge on the setup of on-line publicity campaigns,
including its structure, usability, accessibility and creative design.
 Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Chinese. Strong analytical, communication
and presentation skills.
 Proven ability to manage projects to successful completion with excellent quality, multi-task,
and work within tight deadlines.
 Good media sense and mature, must be able to attend to details.
 Creative, efficient and willing to learn.
Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits
Appointment will be offered on 2-year fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave,
medical insurance and MPF.
