TIM TROHA, Director
BACKGROUND
Tim is a Director in the Denver office. He specializes in providing financial and strategic advisory
services relating to merger, acquisition, and capital market transactions for energy and industrial
companies. Tim has more than eight years of international and corporate finance experience, and
has executed on approximately $600 million in M&A transaction value.

Prior to joining KPMG, Tim was a Principal at St. Charles Capital. Previously, he conducted
macroeconomic and econometric research in the Division of International Finance at the Federal
Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. In addition to his finance and M&A expertise,
Tim gained several years of entrepreneurial insight by founding, leading, and successfully selling a
high-end sporting goods retailer in Boulder.
Tim earned an MBA with Honors at the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business in
Boulder. He received a B.A. cum laude in Economics and Political Science from Kenyon College
including a year of study at the London School of Economics.
Tim has served on the Selection Committee for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s
Industry Growth Forum since 2009, and has participated as a business case panelist and judge for
the Rocky Mountain Cleantech Open and the Colorado Cleantech Initiative, now known as CREED
ACCEL – the Center for Renewable Energy and Economic Development Accelerating Cleantech
and Clean Energy Leaders. He is a member of the 2013 Leadership 20 Denver group of the
Association for Corporate Growth.
Tim was a founding member and former Chair of the Leadership Council of the American Lung
Association of Colorado (“ALAC”), and currently serves as a Board member of ALAC and Co-Chair
of Run the Rocks, a 5k held each October at Red Rocks Park in Morrison, Colorado, benefitting
ALAC.
