Timothy Firth - Horsham Interfaith Forum

Timothy Firth: Funeral
Tim wanted his funeral to be inclusive and we agreed that it should be in the parish church in
our village, Slinfold. It will be an Anglican service but in that context, an occasion when we can
honour all aspects of Tim’s life and include the friends and groups with whom he was involved.
He will be buried in the churchyard – a true country churchyard – and according to his wishes,
after the burial there will be refreshments in the Village Hall next to the church.
In the Catholic tradition, I have decided that we should also have a Month Mind Mass for Tim.
This will be in London.
Funeral
11:30 am on Thursday, 12th June 2014 at: St Peters’s Church, Slinfold, Horsham, West Sussex
RH13 0RR. The undertakers are Freeman Brothers, 9 North Parade, Horsham RH12 2BP.
Flowers: You are welcome to send flowers if you would like. Please arrange for any flowers to
be sent to Freeman Brothers, Horsham before 9:30 on 12th June. Alternatively, you can bring
flowers with you to the church.
Charitable donations: If you would like to give a charitable gift, I would like this to go to the
MacMillan nurses who helped us so much during Tim’s last few weeks. Please send cheques
made out to MacMillan Cancer Support c/o Freeman Brothers, who will manage the donation
process. Alternatively you can make donations at the church.
Parking in the village can be limited so if coming by car you may need to leave time to park a
little further away from the church.
Month Mind Mass
12 noon on Thursday, 19th June 2014 at: Holy Apostles Church, Winchester Street, Pimlico,
London SW1V 4LY.
This is near to Victoria Station and Pimlico tube station. There is a live webcam at this church
so you can join in the mass from your computer if you are unable to attend,
www.holyapostlespimlico.org. (Tim would be amazed!)
It would be helpful if you could let me know, preferably by email, if you plan to come to either
of these occasions.
Website
A friend of ours, Jeddidiah Broadbent, is creating a website for Tim. You can add memories,
tributes and photos to this site. The address is www.timfirth.me.
I look forward to seeing you at either or both the Funeral on the 12th and the Month Mind Mass
on the 19th.
