Are you or someone you know struggling with grief following a loss? Then, this program is for you!! If you are not comfortable attending a grief support group or a grief recovery program, or if being around other people is difficult, or if you don’t feel like going anywhere at all, we hope this radio program will become a part of your recovery and help you begin your journey through grief—right in the privacy of your own home. You are invited to join Linda Gill and Linda Leeke every Saturday morning from 9‐10 on 95.9 FM/1470 AM radio. You can call in during the show at 803‐799‐8255, message us on Facebook at “Return to Joy Radio” or email us at [email protected]. You may also listen to the show from your computer by going to www.makethepointradio.com at 9 a.m. every Saturday. Linda Gill has master’s degrees in both Parent‐Infant Nursing and Clinical Counseling. She is a clinical nurse specialist in crisis and grief whose background has included working with individuals and families in critical hospital settings (adult ICU, Pediatric ICU, Neonatal ICU, and Emergency Room) and also maternity settings. She has also worked with individuals and families experiencing terminal illness, chronic illness, or devastating disability. She is a licensed professional counselor specializing in grief and crisis. She is an author of three books designed to help parents and those who work with children to explain death to young children. She is the founder and program director of the Joy in the Mourning® Center. As a professional, her greatest satisfaction comes from watching people move through the long dark night of grief into joy again. Linda Leeke is a board member for Joy in the Mourning® Center and has experienced grief very personally. Her precious husband Bill died very suddenly and unexpectedly in July of 2013. She had met Linda Gill the previous year at a pet loss support group after her cat Dan died. After Bill’s death, a close friend brought her to the “Grief to Joy” support group where she and Linda Gill reconnected. She began to attend a grief recovery program offered by Joy in the Mourning® Center, and she began to move through her grief in a positive way. The radio program is her “brain‐child” because, knowing intimately her own personal struggle with grief and how she didn’t want to get up in the morning, she wants to be involved in helping people return to the joy she is beginning to find again. You are welcome to visit the Joy in the Mourning® Center website at www.joyinthemourningcenter.org to see other programs offered. Created Oct. 10, 2014
