ALL JOY’S HOLDING COMPANY ACQUIRES TOMATO PROCESSING FACTORY –
VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Eastern Trading Company Proprietary Limited trading as Dursot Food Corporation
(“Dursots”), the controlling shareholder of AH-Vest has acquired a tomato
processing factory in Duiwelskloof, Tzaneen Limpopo. The Limpopo Province
produces more than 60% of the tomatoes produced in South Africa. AH-Vest
produces products under the brand name of All Joy.
South Africa has experienced a major shortage of tomato paste over an extended
period of time and as a result of this All Joy and Dursots have had to rely on
imported products.
Dursots, together with All Joy, are committed to procuring all ingredients in South
Africa. A key objective of the food group is to increase its raw materials from 80% to
95% to further reduce the exposure to imports.
Collectively the Dursots and All Joy group (“the group”) produce more than
50 000 000 units of added-value products per annum out of its five factories located
in one hub in Eikenhof, Johannesburg under the All Joy, Dursots, & Veri Peri brands.
As pure tomato paste is a vital ingredient in the group’s products, the group
embarked on the acquisition of the factory from Tiger Brands and is now in the
process of acquiring new state of the art equipment through Rossi Catelli to increase
its capacity.
This acquisition will guarantee the supply of quality tomato paste for both All Joy and
Dursots and will benefit loyal customers that have supported the group for more
than 25 years.
