MASTERCLASS BACKGROUND
MODULE ONE: 10 February 2015
Women in modern times are surpassing social and cultural barriers,
making tremendous contributions to the advancement of business
and the community. While many are rising and taking up pivotal
roles in the increasingly dynamic engineering profession, breaking
through unique challenges and emerging as successful executive
leaders in this arena remains a challenge. While exciting advances
are being made to promote women into senior management roles,
organisations must continue to proactively address this through
the provision of opportunities, supportive networks and programs
which recognise the value of female leadership to business success.
Within this context, women in engineering must also actively
refine their management skills, resilience, and ability to drive and
influence change in order to steer technical excellence and business
performance through an era of unsurpassed competition and
transformation across engineering-oriented sectors.
A Strategic Communications Toolkit for Leadership Success
This highly interactive workshop with three distinct modules is
designed to provide attendees with practical tips for building
and enhancing strong capabilities in communication, leadership
and negotiation to excel as a highly effective female leader in the
engineering field. Attendees will benefit from a range of group
discussions, practical exercises, role play sessions and handson activities – reserve your seat today and be part of this exciting
learning experience!
TRAINING DELIVERY AND
PRE-COURSE QUESTIONNAIRE
This workshop will be delivered using a three-tiered approach. The
structure of each session is as follows:

Workshop participants will have the opportunity to include comments
and questions about issues outlined in the program by way of a precourse questionnaire. This feedback will enable the course facilitator
to address individual questions and concerns.
