Family Counselling Centre is Looking for Puppeteers! Do you enjoy working with the public and have an interest in performing? The Family Counselling Centre is looking for volunteers to assist with The Kids on the Block program! Learn the art of Bunraku Puppetry as you help to create awareness and understanding about various topics in an effective and fun way. No prior acting or puppeteer experience is required as you will learn these skills. All you need is a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn! ANYONE can make these puppets come to life! Requirements A Vulnerable Sector Police Check prior to performing (form given out at interview) Ability to manipulate 3-4lb puppet for program length (approx. 45 min) Access to a vehicle Responsibilities Attend training sessions prior to performances Read scripts & become familiar with topics being performed Work with fellow puppeteers Arrive at venue half-an-hour prior to performance to help set up For further details or if you are interested in volunteering, please contact Amy Nazarewich, KOB Coordinator, at [email protected].
