We have launched a scheme of financial aid to the needy poor merit-holder students to pursue higher education. Under this scheme, we have collected donation from stakeholders and staff-members. Through this fund, known as ‘Kusumtai Education Fund’ financial aid is given to the poor students to take medical or Engineering education. The total amount collected up to this date is Rs. 98,970/-. 2. Similarly, our meritorious students are awarded cash prizes through “Continuous Deposit Scheme” The staff members contribute a specific amount in the memory of their late family members. The amount is deposited in fix account and the interest earned is awarded as a crash prize. 15 of our staff members have contributed to this fund and the total amount is Rs.59,000/- . Every year 15 students are awarded cash prizes for their best academic performance. The amount and the number of students will keep growing. 3. We publish ‘Kanya Sanwad’ news bulletin at the interval of three months. It highlights the important academic and extracurricular activities and the remarkable achievements of teachers and students. 4. Kanya Career Academy also conducts Kanya Talent Search Examination on the death anniversary of Late Loknete Rajarambapu Patil. All the students of the schools and colleges of Kasegaon Education Society can appear for the exam. The objective is to motivate school and college students for competitive exam career. 5. We have established Kanya Chhand Mandal to develop the innate creative abilities among the students, we offer our students training in different handicrafts and arts such as Mehandi Design, Rangoli Designing, Making Artificial Flowers, Cloth Painting, Jardosi Work, Beautification Course and so on. With the help of such training students can be economically independent and grow into a positive image. 6. Flood and drought is the common phenomena in Maharashtra. The situation goes out of control when The River Krishna overflows and the villages on its banks have to be shifted in safe places. When the flood affected villages need help; our students collect packages of food-grains & medicines from the community and distribute them among needy people visiting the villages. Particularly the village Tambave, Dhotrewadi, Borgaon, Kapuskhed are the recipients of such help. 7. To render health services to community the college has signed MOU with Rajarambapu Blood Bank, Islampur. With the collaboration of this local body, every year the college organized Blood Donation Camp on 1st August – Rajarambapu Patil birth anniversary, Independence Day, Republic Day. Since 2004, we have collected 200 bags of blood and this noteworthy collection is our valuable service to community. 8. Similarly our college has a tie-up with the GO’s and NGO’s functioning in the locality of Islampur. We have an MOU with Rajarambapu Dnyan Probodhini, Lions Club, Giants Club, Giants Saheli, Rotary Club Islampur. Superstition Eradication Committee in Islapur. With the co-operation and the common interest of these bodies the college undertakes joint ventures like tree plantation, awareness programmes, health camps, guest lectures and so on. An Extension Committee in the college organizes & monitors such the programmes in which students and stake holders participate actively. This is a step towards developing a sense of social commitment among the students and developing the healthy network with the society. 9. It is our practice to organize H.B. checkup, skin-disease checkup, eye checkup camp during the special camping programme of N.S.S. The villagers and the girl students are the beneficiaries. 10. Since the establishment, our Staff-Academy is functioning actively with the objective of giving exposure of advanced knowledge in different fields to our teaching and non-teaching staff and keeps them abreast with the changes in research and higher education. Eminent scholars are invited to deliver intellectual discourses. 11. We have established Network Resource Center through self-generated funds. The center has 15 computers and internet facility. The centre is established to train the arts, commerce students particularly in basic computer skills. Students are trained in operating computer, sending and receiving e-mails and browsing internet. 12. Our institution conducts Crash Course of 45 days for MHT-CET entrance exam for engineering and medical science studies. A remarkable number of students of our college and in the vicinity of Islampur have secured outstanding score and have been admitted to renowned medical and engineering colleges in Mumbai & Pune. 13. Our feedback mechanism; its analysis and implementation is another best practice Feedback to evaluate the performance of teacher, feedback on campus facilities, feedback from stakeholders for starting new courses have helped us in quality enhancement. 14. Our institution felicitates the employees for their outstanding performance and achievement. 15. The practices like Teaching plan, Result Analysis, Action Plan and the policy of prompt and timely implementation are the measures of quality enhancement and quality management. ***
