This will be an interactive workshop at which attendees will be invited to each perform some simple
personal calculations (access to a calculator required). The workshop will include calculations involving
the Widmark Factor and the formulae of Forrest and Watson. It will then go on to consider the sort of
calculations that might be expected in a contested Drink Driving case involving laced drinks and/or hip
flask defences. Points raised concerning the ATD Guidelines will also be discussed and agreements
reached.
This workshop is aimed at all abilities, from junior staff to senior & experienced toxicologists.
