R-ELT EMERGENCY LIGHT TEST TIMER
WITH REMOTE OPERATE FACILITY
The R-ELT emergency light test timer.
Model R-ELT is an automatic emergency light test timer. The unit is designed to facilitate
the testing procedures of emergency lighting systems. The R-ELT has selectable time
intervals to carry out both the functional test and a full load duration test.
When the R-ELT is idle, pressing the button on the front activates the timer.
Pressing and holding the button selects longer time intervals. The selected time interval
is indicated by the flash sequence of the LED.
Pressing and holding the button when the timer is active will abort the test and the timer
will return to its idle state.

Operation.
•
In the idle state the LED will briefly flash on, in an active state the LED will be on and briefly flash off.
•
To activate the R-ELT press and hold the button on the front of the unit for greater than 1 second. While the
button is held down to activate the timer and select the time period, the LED will flash at a faster rate.
•
The three different time periods are selected by holding the button down for different lengths of time, the time
period is signalled by the LED flash sequence.
•
Press and hold the button for 1 second to select 60 minutes.
- LED flashing briefly off once.
•
Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to select 90 minutes.
- LED flashing briefly off and on twice.
•
Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to select 120 minutes.
- LED flashing briefly off and on three times.
•
Pressing and holding the button for 1 second when the timer is active will abort the test and the timer will
return to its idle state.
