You must first obtain the installation folder from the AFS server or from the PCS Group. Before you
install the software, be sure that you are connected to the campus wireless and authenticated. Do not
log in as “Guest”.

Installation
Start the “setup” file from within the Timberline folder. When the install starts, check the box and then
click the “Continue the Install” button.
Click the “Start” button.
Timberline will begin to verify the current installations of several dependencies and then automatically
install the missing ones.

Check all of the items you wish to install (Be sure to also check the “License Manger” item) and then
click the “Next >” button. You should compare what you wish to install with the list of licenses at the
end of this document.

Enter in the appropriate activation codes for each item and then type “UNIV NORTH CAROLINACHARLOTTE” for the registration name. These activation codes can be found at the end of the
document. Once you have confirmed your entries, click the “Next >” button.
Click the “Next >” button.
The software will begin to install.

When it has completed, you will have to restart your machine. Click the “Restart” button.
When the machine restarts, Timberline will do a security scan.
Click the “OK” button.

Navigate to “Start > All Programs > Sage Software > Sage Timberline Office > Estimating > License
Manager > Commuter License Manager”. When the software loads, click the “Single Server” button.
Type “coelic2.uncc.edu” and then click the “OK” button.

Select the “EPT-ENU” option and then click the “Check Out” button. This will give you a license check
out time of 30 days. Do this for the following items:

PWX-ENU

When you are ready to check back in the license, click the license and then click the “Check In” button.
When you run the Timberline application, you will get a popup displaying how many days are left in the
commuter license.
